سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میرے لیے ساری زمین ذریعہ طہارت اور مسجد بنائی گئی ہے ۱؎۔

Narrated Abu Dharr: The earth has been made for me purifying and as a mosque (place for prayer).

علی رضی اللہ عنہ بابل سے گزر رہے تھے کہ ان کے پاس مؤذن انہیں نماز عصر کی خبر دینے آیا، تو جب آپ بابل کی سر زمین پار کر گئے تو مؤذن کو حکم دیا اس نے عصر کے لیے تکبیر کہی، جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا: میرے حبیب صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے قبرستان میں اور سر زمین بابل میں نماز پڑھنے سے منع فرمایا ہے ۱؎ کیونکہ اس پر لعنت کی گئی ہے۔

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: Abu Salih al-Ghifari reported: Ali (once) passed by Babylon during his travels. The muadhdhin (the person who calls for prayer) came to him to call for the afternoon prayer. When he passed by that place, he commanded to announce for the prayer. After finishing the prayer he said: My affectionate friend (i. e. the Prophet) prohibited me to say prayer in the graveyard. He also forbade me to offer prayer in Babylon because it is accursed.

سلیمان بن داود کی حدیث کے ہم معنی حدیث مروی ہے، مگر اس میں: «فلما برز» کے بجائے«فلما خرج» ہے۔

Abu Salih narrated this tradition with a different chain of transmitters to the same effect as reported by Sulaiman bin Dawud. But this version has the word KHARAJA (he went out) instead of BARAZA (proceeded).

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ( اور موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے اپنی روایت میں کہا: جیسا کہ عمرو کا خیال ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ) : ساری زمین نماز پڑھنے کی جگہ ہے، سوائے حمام ( غسل خانہ ) اور قبرستان کے ۔

Narrated Saeed: and the narrator Musa said: As far as Amr thinks, the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The whole earth is a place of prayer except public baths and graveyards.
