حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا طَلَعَتْ وَرَآهَا النَّاسُ آمَنَ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَذَلِكَ حِينَ لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ .
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: اس وقت تک قیامت قائم نہ ہو گی جب تک سورج پچھم سے نہ نکلے گا، جب سورج کو پچھم سے نکلتے دیکھیں گے تو روئے زمین کے سب لوگ ایمان لے آئیں گے، لیکن یہ ایسا وقت ہو گا کہ اس وقت جو پہلے سے ایمان نہیں رکھتے تھے، ان کا ایمان لانا کچھ فائدہ نہ دے گا ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘The Hour will not begin until the sun rises from the west (i.e. the place of its setting). When it rises, the people will see it, and everyone on (earth) will believe, but that will be at a time when faith will not benefit anyone who did not believe before.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَوَّلُ الْآيَاتِ خُرُوجًا:‏‏‏‏ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَخُرُوجُ الدَّابَّةِ عَلَى النَّاسِ ضُحًى ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَيَّتُهُمَا مَا خَرَجَتْ قَبْلَ الْأُخْرَى،‏‏‏‏ فَالْأُخْرَى مِنْهَا قَرِيبٌ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا أَظُنُّهَا إِلَّا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا.
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قیامت کی پہلی نشانی سورج کا پچھم سے نکلنا، اور چاشت کے وقت لوگوں پر «دابہ» ( چوپایہ ) کا ظاہر ہونا ہے ۔ عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ان دونوں میں سے جو بھی پہلے نکلے، تو دوسرا اس سے قریب ہو گا، میرا یہی خیال ہے کہ پہلے سورج پچھم سے نکلے گا ۱؎۔

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The first signs to appear will be at the rising of the sun from the west and the emergence of the Beast to the people, at forenoon.’” 'Abdullah said: Whichever of them appears first, the other will come soon after. 'Abdullah said: I do not think it will be anything other than the sun rising from the west.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ زِرٍّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ مِنْ قِبَلِ مَغْرِبِ الشَّمْسِ بَابًا مَفْتُوحًا،‏‏‏‏ عَرْضُهُ سَبْعُونَ سَنَةً،‏‏‏‏ فَلَا يَزَالُ ذَلِكَ الْبَابُ مَفْتُوحًا لِلتَّوْبَةِ،‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ نَحْوِهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا طَلَعَتْ مِنْ نَحْوِهِ لَمْ يَنْفَعْ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا،‏‏‏‏ لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا .
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مغرب ( یعنی سورج کے ڈوبنے کی سمت ) میں ایک کھلا دروازہ ہے، اس کی چوڑائی ستر سال کی مسافت ہے، یہ دروازہ توبہ کے لیے ہمیشہ کھلا رہے گا، جب تک سورج ادھر سے نہ نکلے، اور جب سورج ادھر سے نکلے گا تو اس وقت کسی شخص کا جو اس سے پہلے ایمان نہ لایا ہو یا ایمان لا کر کوئی نیکی نہ کما لی ہو، اس کا ایمان لانا کسی کام نہ آئے گا ۔

It was narrated from Safwan bin ‘Assal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Towards the west (i.e., the place of the setting of the sun) there is an open door, seventy years wide. That door will remain open for repentance until the sun rises from this direction. When it rises from this direction, faith will not benefit any soul that did not believe before or earn anything good through its faith.”
