سنن ابن ماجہ

نفاس والی عورتیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں چالیس دن نماز اور روزے سے رکی رہتی تھیں، اور ہم اپنے چہرے پہ جھائیں کی وجہ سے «ورس» ملا کرتے تھے ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: At the time of the Messenger of Allah, women in postnatal bleeding (after childbirth) used to wait for forty days, and we used to put Wars on our faces because of freckles.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نفاس والی عورتوں کے لیے مدت نفاس کی چالیس دن مقرر کی مگر یہ کہ وہ اس سے پہلے پاکی دیکھ لیں۔

It was narrated that Anas said: The Messenger of Allah set the time for postnatal bleeding at forty days, except for one who becomes pure before that.
