رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس کا کوئی آدمی قتل ہو گیا ہو تو اسے اختیار ہے، چاہے تو قصاص لے، چاہے تو دیت لے“ ۱؎۔

Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'If a person's relative is killed, he has the choice of two things: Either he may retaliate, or he may take the ransom. '

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس کا کوئی آدمی قتل ہو گیا ہو تو اسے دو باتوں کا اختیار ہے، چاہے تو قصاص لے اور چاہے تو دیت لے“۔

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس کا کوئی شخص قتل کر دیا گیا“ ( یعنی وہ چاہے تو قصاص لے، اور چاہے تو دیت لے ) ( یہ روایت مرسل ہے ) ۔
