He said, "I was only given it because of knowledge I have." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of generations those who were greater than him in power and greater in accumulation [of wealth]? But the criminals, about their sins, will not be asked.
Qaroon ney kaha yeh sab kuch mujhay meri apni samajh ki bina per hi diya gaya hai kiya issay abb tak yeh nahi maloom kay Allah Taalaa ney uss say pehlay boht si basti walon ko ghaarat ker diya jo uss say boht ziyada qooat walay aur boht bari jama poonji walay thay. Aur gunehgaaron say unn kay gunahon ki baaz purs aisay waqt nahi ki jati
उस ने कहा, "मुझे तो यह मेरे अपने व्यक्तिगत ज्ञान के कारण मिला है।" क्या उस ने यह नहीं जाना कि अल्लाह उस से पहले कितनी ही नस्लों को विनष्ट कर चुका है जो शक्ति में उस से बढ़-चढ़कर और बाहुल्य में उस से अधिक थीं? अपराधियों से तो (उन की तबाही के समय) उन के गुनाहों के विषय में पूछा भी नहीं जाता
And when adversity touches man, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow on him a favor from Us, he says, "I have only been given it because of [my] knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.
Insan ko jab koi takleef phonchti hai to humen pukarney lagta hai phir jab hum ussay apni taraf say koi nemat ata farma den to kehney lagta hai kay issay to mein mehaz apnay ilm ki waja say diya gaya hun bulkay yeh aazmaeesh hai lekin inn mein say aksar log bey-ilm hain.
अतः जब मनुष्य को कोई तकलीफ़ पहुँचती है तो वह हमें पुकारने लगता है, फिर जब हमारी ओर से उस पर कोई अनुकम्पा होती है तो कहता है, "यह तो मुझे ज्ञान के कारण प्राप्त हुआ।" नहीं, बल्कि यह तो एक परीक्षा है, किन्तु उन में से अधिकतर जानते नहीं
