And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that there [must] befall them the [accustomed] precedent of the former peoples or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.
Logon kay pass hidayat aa chukney ka baad unhen eman laney aur apney rab say isataghfaar kerney say sirf issi cheez ney roka kay aglay logon ka sa moamla unhen bhi paish aaye ye unn kay samney khullam khulla azab aa mojood hojaye.
आख़िर लोगों को, जबकि उन के पास मार्गदर्शन आ गया, तो इस बात से कि वे ईमान लाते और अपने रब से क्षमा चाहते, इस के सिवा किसी चीज़ ने नहीं रोका कि उन के लिए वही कुछ सामने आए जो पूर्व जनों के सामने आ चुका है, यहाँ तक कि यातना उन के सामने आ खड़ी हो
Those are the ones who have exchanged guidance for error and forgiveness for punishment. How patient they are in pursuit of the Fire!
Yeh woh log hain jinhon ney gumrahi ko hidayat kay badlay aur azab ko maghfirat kay badlay khareed liya hai yeh log aag ka azab kitna bardasht kerney walay hain.
ये वे लोग हैं जिन्होंने हिदायत के बदले गुमराही और मग़्फ़िरत के बदले अज़ाब की ख़रीदारी कर ली है; चुनाँचे (अंदाज़ा करो कि) ये दोज़ख की आग सहने के लिए कितने तैयार हैं।
And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.
Mein ney jab khabi unhein teri bakhsish kay liye bulaya unhon ney apni ungliyan apney kaano mein daal lein aur apney kapron ko orh liya aur urh gaye aur bara takabur kiya
"और जब भी मैंने उन्हें बुलाया, ताकि तू उन्हें क्षमा कर दे, तो उन्होंने अपने कानों में अपनी उँगलियाँ दे लीं और अपने कपड़ो से स्वयं को ढाँक लिया और अपनी हठ पर अड़ गए और बड़ा ही घमंड किया
