And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.
Aur jo shaks rehman ki yaad say ghaflat keray hum uss per aik shetan muqarrar ker detay hain wohi uss ka sathi rehta hai.
जो रहमान के स्मरण की ओर से अंधा बना रहा है, हम उस पर एक शैतान नियुक्त कर देते हैं तो वही उस का साथी होता है
And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided
Aur woh unhen raah say roktay hain aur yeh iss khayal mein rehtay hain kay yeh hidayat yafta hai.
और वे (शैतान) उन्हें मार्ग से रोकते हैं और वे (इनकार करने वाले) यह समझते हैं कि वे मार्ग पर हैं
Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west - how wretched a companion."
Yehan tak kay jabb woh humaray pass aayega kahega kash! Meray aur teray darmiyan mashriq aur maghrib ki doori hoti ( to ) bara bura sathi hai.
यहाँ तक कि जब वह हमारे पास आएगा तो (शैतान से) कहेगा, "ऐ काश, मेरे और तेरे बीच पूरब के दोनों किनारों की दूरी होती! तू तो बहुत ही बुरा साथी निकला!"
