الفاظ ( وَشَهِدَ )

یوسف نے کہا یہ عورت ہی مجھے پھسلا رہی تھی ، اور عورت کے قبیلے کے ہی کے ایک شخص نے گواہی دی کہ اگر اس کا کرتہ آگے سے پھٹا ہوا ہو تو عورت سچی ہے اور یوسف جھوٹ بو لنے والوں میں سے ہے ۔

[Joseph] said, "It was she who sought to seduce me." And a witness from her family testified. "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has told the truth, and he is of the liars.

آپ کہہ دیجئے! اگر یہ ( قرآن ) اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہو اور تم نے اسے نہ مانا ہو اور بنی اسرائیل کا ایک گواہ اس جیسی کی گواہی بھی دے چکا ہو اور وہ ایمان بھی لا چکا ہو اور تم نے سرکشی کی ہو تو بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دکھاتا ۔

Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah , and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant... ?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
