Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
Sari achaee mashriq-o-maghrib ki taraf mun kerney mein hi nahi bulkay acha woh shaks hai jo Allah Taalaa per qayamat kay din per aur farishton per kitab ullah per aur nabiyon per eman rakhney wala ho jo maal say mohabbat kerney kay bawajood qarabat daron yateemon miskeenon musafiron aur sawal kerney walon ko dey ghulamon ko aazad keray namaz ki pabandi aur zakat ki adaeegi keray jab wada keray tab ussay poora keray tangdast dukh dard aur laraee kay waqt sabar keray yehi sachay log hain aur yehi perhezgar hain.
नेकी यह नहीं कि तुम अपने चेहरे पूरब और पश्चिम की तरफ़ कर लो; बल्कि नेकी यह है कि आदमी ईमान लाए अल्लाह पर और आख़िरत के दिन पर और फ़रिश्तों पर और किताब पर और पैग़म्बरों पर, और माल दे अल्लाह की मुहब्बत में रिश्तेदारों को, और मोहताजों को और मुसाफ़िरों को, और मांगने वालों को और ग़ुलामों को छुड़ाने में, और नमाज़ क़ायम करे और ज़कात अदा करे, और जब अहद कर लें तो उसको पूरा करें, और सब्र करने वाले सख़्ती और तकलीफ़ में और लड़ाई के वक़्त, यही लोग हैं जो सच्चे निकले, और यही हैं डर रखने वाले।
Have you not considered the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord [merely] because Allah had given him kingship? When Abraham said, "My Lord is the one who gives life and causes death," he said, "I give life and cause death." Abraham said, "Indeed, Allah brings up the sun from the east, so bring it up from the west." So the disbeliever was overwhelmed [by astonishment], and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Kiya tu ney ussay nahi dekha jo saltanat paa ker ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) say uss kay rab kay baray mein jhagar raha tha jab ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha mera rab to woh hai jo jilata aur maarta hai woh kehney laga mein bhi jilata aur maarta hun ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha Allah Taalaa sooraj ko mashriq ki taraf say ley aata hai tu issay maghrib ki janib say ley aa. Abb to woh kafir bhoncka reh gaya aur Allah Taalaa zalimon ko hidayat nahi deta.
क्या तुमने उसको नहीं देखा जिसने इब्राहीम (अलै॰) से बहस की उनके रब के बारे में इस वजह से कि अल्लाह ने उनको सल्तनत दी थी, जब इब्राहीम (अलै॰) ने कहा कि मेरा रब वह है जो ज़िंदा करता है और मारता है, उसने कहा कि मैं भी जिंदा करता हूँ, और मारता हूँ, इब्राहीम (अलै॰) ने कहाः अल्लाह सूरज को मशरिक़ से निकालता है, तू उसको मग़रिब से निकाल दे, तब वह मुनकिर लाजवाब हो गया, और अल्लाह ज़ालिम लोगों को राह नहीं दिखाता।
[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."
( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney farmaya! Wohi mashriq-o-maghrib ka aur inn kay darmiyan ki tamam cheezon ka rab hai agar tum aqal rakhtay ho.
उस ने कहा, "पूर्व और पश्चिम का रब और जो कुछ उन के बीच है उस का भी, यदि तुम कुछ बुद्धि रखते हो।"
[He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs.
Mashriq o maghrib ka perwardigar jis ka koi maabood nahi to usko apna karsaz bana lay
वह पूर्व और पश्चिम का रब है, उस के सिवा कोई इष्ट-पूज्य नहीं, अतः तुम उसी को अपना कार्यसाधक बना लो
