And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend.
Ba-aetbaar deen kay uss say acha kaun hai? Jo apney ko Allah kay tabey ker dey aur ho bhi neko kaar sath hi yaksui walay ibrahim kay deen ki pairwee ker raha ho aur ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) ko Allah ney apna dost bana liya hai.
और उससे बेहतर किस का दीन है जो अपना चेहरा अल्लाह की तरफ़ झुकादे इस हाल में कि वह नेकी करने वाला हो और वह चले दीने इब्राहीम पर जो सीधी राह पर चलने वाले थे, और अल्लाह ने इब्राहीम को अपना दोस्त बना लिया था।
And indeed, they were about to tempt you away from that which We revealed to you in order to [make] you invent about Us something else; and then they would have taken you as a friend.
Yeh log aap ko iss wahee say jo hum ney aap per utari hai behkana chahtay hain kay aap iss kay siwa kuch aur hi humaray naam say ghar ghara len tab to aap ko yeh log apna wali dost bana letay.
और वे लगते थे कि तुम्हें फ़िले में डालकर उस चीज़ से हटा देने को हैं जिस की प्रकाशना हम ने तुम्हारी ओर की है, ताकि तुम उस से भिन्न चीज़ घड़कर हम पर थोपो, और तब वे तुम्हें अपना घनिष्ठ मित्र बना लेते
Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
Haye afsos kaash kay mein ney falan ko dost na banaya hota.
हाय मेरा दुर्भाग्य! काश, मैंने अमुक व्यक्ति को मित्र न बनाया होता!
