الفاظ ( وَالْيَتٰمٰى )

اور جب ہم نے بنی اسرائیل سے و عدہ لیا کہ تم اللہ کے سوا دوسرے کی عبادت نہ کرنا اور ماں باپ کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کرنا ، اسی طرح قرابتداروں ، یتیموں اور مسکینوں کے ساتھ اور لوگوں کو اچھی باتیں کہنا ، نمازیں قائم رکھنا اور زکوۃ دیتے رہا کرنا ، لیکن تھوڑے سے لوگوں کے علاوہ تم سب پھر گئے اور منہ موڑ لیا ۔

And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not worship except Allah ; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.

آپ سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ وہ کیا خرچ کریں؟ آپ کہہ دیجئے جو مال تم خرچ کرو وہ ماں باپ کے لئے ہے اور رشتہ داروں اور یتیموں اور مسکینوں اور مسافروں کے لئے ہے اور تم جو کچھ بھلائی کرو گے اللہ تعالٰی کو اس کا علم ہے ۔

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."

اور جب تقسیم کے وقت قرابت دار اور یتیم اور مسکین آجائیں تو تم اس میں سے تھوڑا بہت انہیں بھی دے دو اور ان سے نرمی سے بولو ۔

And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the [time of] division, then provide for them [something] out of the estate and speak to them words of appropriate kindness.
