Then do they feel secure that there will not come to them an overwhelming [aspect] of the punishment of Allah or that the Hour will not come upon them suddenly while they do not perceive?
Kiya woh iss baat say bey khof hogaye hain kay inn kay pass Allah kay azabon mein say koi aam azab aajaye ya inn per achanak qayamt toot paray aur woh bey khabar hi hon.
क्या ये लोग इस बात से मुतमइन हैं कि उन पर अज़ाबे-इलाही की कोई आफ़त आ पड़े या अचानक उन पर क़यामत आ जाए और वे उससे बेख़बर हों।
And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that there [must] befall them the [accustomed] precedent of the former peoples or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.
Logon kay pass hidayat aa chukney ka baad unhen eman laney aur apney rab say isataghfaar kerney say sirf issi cheez ney roka kay aglay logon ka sa moamla unhen bhi paish aaye ye unn kay samney khullam khulla azab aa mojood hojaye.
आख़िर लोगों को, जबकि उन के पास मार्गदर्शन आ गया, तो इस बात से कि वे ईमान लाते और अपने रब से क्षमा चाहते, इस के सिवा किसी चीज़ ने नहीं रोका कि उन के लिए वही कुछ सामने आए जो पूर्व जनों के सामने आ चुका है, यहाँ तक कि यातना उन के सामने आ खड़ी हो
Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not?
Yeh log sirf qayamat kay muntazir hain kay woh achnak inn per aa paray aur enhen khabar bhi na ho.
क्या वे बस उस (क़ियामत की) घड़ी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं कि वह सहसा उन पर आ पड़े और उन्हें ख़बर भी न हो
Then do they await except that the Hour should come upon them unexpectedly? But already there have come [some of] its indications. Then what good to them, when it has come, will be their remembrance?
To kiya yeh qayamat ka intezar ker rahe hain kay woh inn kay pass achanak aajaye yaqeenan iss ki alamaten to aa chuki hain phir jabkay inn kay pass qayamat aajaye enhen naseehat kerna kahan hoga?
अब क्या वे लोग बस उस घड़ी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं कि वह उन पर अचानक आ जाए? उस के लक्षण तो सामने आ चुके हैं, जब वह स्वयं भी उन पर आ जाएगी तो फिर उन के लिए होश में आने का अवसर कहाँ शेष रहेगा?
