To Him [alone] is the supplication of truth. And those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing, except as one who stretches his hands toward water [from afar, calling it] to reach his mouth, but it will not reach it [thus]. And the supplication of the disbelievers is not but in error [i.e. futility].
Ussi ko pukarna haq hai. Jo log auron ko iss kay siwa pukartay hain woh unn ( ki pukar ) ka kuch bhi jawab nahi detay magar jaisay koi shaks apney dono hath pani ki taraf phelaye huye ho kay uss kay mun mein parr jaye halankay woh pani uss kay mun mein phonchney wala nahi inn munkiron ki jitni pukar hai sab gumrahi mein hai.
उसी को पुकारना हक़ है, जो लोग औरों को उसके सिवा पुकारते हैं वे उन (की पुकार) का कुछ भी जवाब नहीं देते मगर जैसे कोई शख़्स अपने दोनों हाथ पानी की तरफ़ फैलाए हुए हो कि वह उसके मुँह में पड़ जाए; हालाँकि वह पानी कभी उसके मुँह में पहुँचने वाला नहीं, उन मुनकिरों की जितनी पुकार है सब गुमराही में है।
And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.
Aur apney aap ko unhin kay sath rakha ker jo apney perwerdigar ko subha shaam pukartay hain aur ussi kay chehray kay iraday rakhtay hain ( raza mandi chahatay hain ) khabardaar! Teri nigahen unn say na hatney payen kay dunyawi zindagi kay thaath kay iraday mein lag jaa. Dekh uss ka kehna na manna jiss kay dil ko hum ney apney zikar say ghafil ker diya hai aur jo apni khuwaishon kay peechay para hua hai aur jiss ka kaam hadd say guzar chuka hai.
अपने आपको उन लोगों के साथ थाम रखो, जो प्रातःकाल और सायंकाल अपने रब को उस की प्रसन्नता चाहते हुए पुकारते हैं और सांसारिक जीवन की शोभा की चाह में तुम्हारी आँखें उन से न फिरें। और ऐसे व्यक्ति की बात न मानना जिस के दिल को हम ने अपनी याद से ग़ाफ़िल पाया है और वह अपनी इच्छा और वासना के पीछे लगा हुआ है और उस का मामला हद से आगे बढ़ गया है
So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer - no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We, of it, are recorders.
Phir jo bhi nek kaam keray aur woh momin ( bhi ) ho to uss ki kosish ki bey qadri nahi ki jayegi. Hum to iss kay likhney walay hain.
फिर जो अच्छे कर्म करेगा, शर्त या कि वह मोमिन हो, तो उस के प्रयास की उपेक्षा न होगी। हम तो उस के लिए उसे लिख रहे हैं
The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.
Qom-e-nooh ney aur unn kay baad kay girohon ney bhi jhutlaya tha. Aur her ummat ney apnay rasool ko giriftar kerleney ka iradah kiya aur baatil kay zariyey kaj behasiyan kien takay unn say haq ko bigar den pus mein ney unn ko pakar liya so meri taraf say kaisi saza hui.
उन से पहले नूह की क़ौम ने और उन के पश्चात दूसरे गिरोहों ने भी झुठलाया और हर समुदाय के लोगों ने अपने रसूलों के बारे में इरादा किया कि उन्हें पकड़ लें और वे सत्य का सहारा लेकर झगडे, ताकि उस के द्वारा सत्य को उखाड़ दें। अन्ततः मैंने उन्हें पकड़ लिया। तौ कैसी रही मेरी सज़ा!
