Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time.
Chunacha koi basti eman na laee kay eman lana uss ko nafey hota siwaye younus ( alh-e-salam ) ki qom kay. Jab woh eman ley aaye to hum ney ruswaee kay azab ko dunyawi zindagi mein unn per say taal diya aur unn ko aik waqt ( khas ) tak kay liye zindagi say faeeda uthaney ( ka moqa ) diya.
पस क्यों न हुआ कि कोई बस्ती ईमान लाती कि उसका ईमान लाना उसको नफ़ा देता यूनुस (अलै॰) की क़ौम के सिवा, जब वे ईमान लाए तो हमने उनसे दुनिया की ज़िंदगी में रुसवाई का अज़ाब टाल दिया और उनको एक मुद्दत तक ज़िंदगी का लुत्फ़ उठाने दिया।
And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers?
Aur agar aap ka rab chahata to tamam roy-e-zamin kay log sab kay sab eman latay to kiya aap logon per zabardasti ker saktay hain yahan tak kay woh momin hi ho jayen.
और अगर आपका रब चाहता तो ज़मीन पर जितने लोग हैं सबके सब ईमान ले आते, फिर क्या आप लोगों को मजबूर करोगे कि वे मोमिन हो जाएं।
And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah , and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason.
Halankay kissi shaks ka eman lana Allah kay hukum kay baghair mumkin nahi. Aur Allah Taalaa bey aqal logon per gandagi daal deta hai.
और किसी शख़्स के लिए मुमकिन नहीं कि वे अल्लाह की इजाज़त के बग़ैर ईमान ला सके, और अल्लाह उन लोगों पर गंदगी डाल देता है जो अक़्ल से काम नहीं लेते।
