Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
Kia tu nay na dekha kay tery rab nay hathi walon kay sath kia kiya?
क्या तुम ने देखा नहीं कि तुम्हारे रब ने हाथी वालों के साथ कैसा बरताव किया?
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
Kia unkay maker ko beykar nai kerdia?
क्या उस ने उन की चाल को अकारथ नहीं कर दिया?
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
Aur unper parindon kay jhond kay jhond bhej diey.
और उन पर नियुक्त होने को झुंड के झुंड पक्षी भेजे,
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
Jo unhein mitti or pather ki kankariyan mar rahy thy.
उन पर कंकरीले पत्थर मार रहे थे
And He made them like eaten straw.
Pus unhein khaye huye bhoosy ki tarah kerdiya.
अन्ततः उन्हें ऐसा कर दिया, जैसे खाने का भूसा हो
