Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way."
Keh dijiye aey ehal-e-kitab! Apney deen mein na haq ghuloov aur ziyadti na kero aur unn logon ki nafsani khuwaishon perwi na kero jo pehlay say behak chukay hain aur bohton ko behka bhi chukay hain aur seedhi raah say hatt gaye hain.
आप कह दीजिए कि ऐ अहले-किताब! अपने दीन में हक़ को छोड़ कर हद से आगे न निकलो और उन लोगों के ख़्यालात की पैरवी न करो जो उससे पहले गुमराह हुए और जिन्होंने बहुत-से लोगों को गुमराह किया और वे सीधी राह से भटक गए।
Say, [O Muhammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allah has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord.
Aap kahiye kay apney gawahon ko lao jo iss baat per shahadat den kay Allah ney inn cheezon ko haram ker diya hai phir agar woh gawahi dey den to aap iss ki shahadat na dijiye aur aisay logon kay baatil khayalaat ka ittabaa mat kijiye! Jo humari aayaton ki takzeeb kertay hain aur woh jo aakhirat per eman nahi rakhtay aur woh apney rab kay barabar doosron ko thehratay hain.
कह दीजिए कि अपने गवाहों को लाओ जो इस पर गवाही दें कि अल्लाह ने उन चीज़ों को हराम ठहराया है, अगर वे झूठी गवाही दे भी दें तो आप उनके साथ गवाही न देना, और आप उन लोगों की ख़्वाहिशों की पैरवी न करें जिन्होंने हमारी निशानियों को झुठलाया और जो आख़िरत पर ईमान नहीं रखते और दूसरों को अपने रब का हमसर ठहराते हैं।
Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.
Phir hum ney aap ko deen ki ( zahir ) raah per qaeem ker diya ao aap issi per lagay rahen aur nadano ki khuwaishon ki perwee mein na paren.
फिर हम ने तुम्हें इस मामलें में एक खुले मार्ग (शरीअत) पर कर दिया। अतः तुम उसी पर चलो और उन लोगों की इच्छाओं का अनुपालन न करना जो जानते नहीं
