And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
Aur hum ney yahudiyon kay zimmay toraat mein yeh baat muqarrar ker di thi kay jaan kay badlay jaan aur aankh kay badlay aankh aur naak kay badlay naak aur kaan kay badlay kaan aur daant kay badlay daant aur khaas zakhmon ka bhi badla hai phri jo shaks iss ko moaf ker dey to woh iss kay liye kuffara hai aur jo log Allah kay nazil kiye huye kay mutabiq hukum na keren wohi log zalim hain.
और हमने इस किताब में लिख दिया है कि जान के बदले जान और आँख के बदले आँख और नाक के बदले नाक और कान के बदले कान और दाँत के बदले दाँत और ज़ख़्मों का बदला उनके बराबर होगा, फिर जिसने उसको माफ़ कर दिया तो वह उसके लिए कफ़्फ़ारा है, और जो शख़्स उसके मुताबिक़ फ़ैसला न करे जो अल्लाह ने उतारा है तो वही लोग ज़ालिम हैं।
And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.
Aur hum ney unn kay peechay essa bin marium ko bheja jo apney say pehlay ki kitab yaani toraat ki tasdeeq kerney walay thay aur hum ney unhen injeel ata farmaee jiss mein noor aur hidayat thi aur woh apney say pehlay ki kitab toraat ki tasdeeq kerti thi aur woh sira sir hidayat-o-naseehat thi paarsa logon kay liye.
और हमने उनके पीछे ईसा बिन मरियम को भेजा तस्दीक़ करते हुए अपने से पहले की किताब तौरात की और हमने उनको इंजील दी जिसमें हिदायत और रौशनी है और वह तस्दीक़ करने वाली थी अपने से पहली किताब तौरात की और हिदायत और नसीहत डरने वालों के लिए।
And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.
Aur injeel walon ko bhi chahaiye kay Allah Taalaa ney jo kuch injeel mein nazil farmaya hai ussi kay mutabiq hukum keren aur jo Allah Taalaa kay nazil kerda say hi hukum na keren woh ( bad kaar ) faasiq hain.
और चाहिए कि इंजील वाले उसके मुताबिक़ फ़ैसला करें जो अल्लाह ने उसमें उतारा है, और जो कोई उसके मुताबिक़ फ़ैसला न करे जो अल्लाह ने उतारा है तो वही लोग नाफ़रमान हैं।
