And those cities - We destroyed them when they wronged, and We made for their destruction an appointed time.
Yeh hain woh bastiyan jinhen hum ney unn kay mazalim ki bina per ghaarat ker diya aur inn ki tabahi ki bhi hum ney aik miyaad muqarrar ker rakhi thi.
और ये बस्तियाँ वे हैं कि जब उन्होंने अत्याचार किया तो हम ने उन्हें विनष्ट कर दिया, और हम ने उन के विनाश के लिए एक समय निश्चित कर रखा था
And if We had destroyed them with a punishment before him, they would have said, "Our Lord, why did You not send to us a messenger so we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and disgraced?"
Aur agar hum iss say pehlay hi enehn azab say halak ker detay to yaqeenan yeh keh uthtay kay aey humaray perwerdigar tu ney humaray pass apna rasool kiyon na bheja? Kay hum teri aayaton ki tabeydari kertay iss say pehlay kay hum zaleel-o-ruswa hotay.
यदि हम उस के पहले इन्हें किसी यातना से विनष्ट कर देते तो ये कहते कि "ऐ हमारे रब, तूने हमारे पास कोई रसूल क्यों न भेजा कि इस से पहले कि हम अपमानित और रुसवा होते, तेरी आयतों का अनुपालन करने लगते?"
Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals.
Kiya yeh log behtar hain ya tubba’a ki qom kay log aur jo unn say bhi pehlay thay. Hum ney unn sabb ko halak ker diya yaqeenan woh gunehgar thay.
क्या वे अच्छे हैं या तुब्बा की क़ौम या वे लोग जो उन से पहले गुज़र चुके हैं? हम ने उन्हें विनष्ट कर दिया, निश्चय ही वे अपराधी थे
And how many a city was stronger than your city [Makkah] which drove you out? We destroyed them; and there was no helper for them.
Hum ney kitni bastiyon ko jo taqat mein teri iss basti say ziyadah thin jiss say tujhay nikala hum ney unhen halak ker diya jinka madadgar koi na utha.
कितनी ही बस्तियाँ थी जो शक्ति में तुम्हारी उस बस्ती से, जिस ने तुम्हें निकाल दिया, बढ़-चढ़कर थीं। हम ने उन्हे विनष्ट कर दिया! फिर कोई उन का सहायक न हुआ
