And how could you disbelieve while to you are being recited the verses of Allah and among you is His Messenger? And whoever holds firmly to Allah has [indeed] been guided to a straight path.
( go yeh zahir hai kay ) tum kaisay kufur ker saktay ho? Bawajood yeh kay tum per Allah Taalaa ki aayaten parhi jati hain aur tum mein rasool ( PBUH ) mojood hain. Jo shaks Allah Taalaa ( kay deen ) ko mazboot thaam ley to bila shuba ussay raah-e-raast dikha di gaee.
और तुम किस तरह इनकार करोगे; हालाँकि तुमको अल्लाह की आयतें सुनाई जा रही हैं और तुम्हारे दरमियान उसका रसूल मौजूद है, और जो शख़्स अल्लाह को मज़बूती से पकड़ेगा तो वह पहुँच गया सीधी राह पर।
And how could you take it while you have gone in unto each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant?
Halankay tum aik doosray say mill chukay ho aur inn aurton ney tum say mazboot ehad-o-paymaan ley rakh hai.
और तुम किस तरह उसको लोगे जबकि तुम में से हर एक दूसरे से तन्हाई में मिल चुका है और वे तुमसे पक्का वादा ले चुकी हैं।
But how is it that they come to you for judgement while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of Allah ? Then they turn away, [even] after that; but those are not [in fact] believers.
( tajjub ki baat hai kay ) woh kaisay apney pass toraat hotay huye jiss mein ehkaam-e-elahee hain tum ko munsif banatay hain phir iss kay baad bhi phir jatay hain dar asal yeh eman-o-yaqeen walay hain hi nahi.
और वे कैसे आपको फ़ैसला करने वाला बना सकते हैं हालाँकि उनके पास तौरात है जिसमें अल्लाह का हुक्म मौजूद है और फिर वे उससे मुँह मोड़ रहे हैं, और ये लोग हरगिज़ ईमान वाले नहीं हैं।
And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?
Aur mein inn cheezon say kaisay darron jin ko tum ney shareek banaya hai halankay tum iss baat say nahi dartay kay tum ney Allah kay sath aisi cheezon ko shareek thehraya hai jin per Allah Taalaa ney koi daleel nazil nahi farmaee so inn do jamaton mein say aman ka ziyada mustahiq kaun hai agar tum khabar rakhtay ho.
और मैं क्योंकर डरूँ तुम्हारे शरीकों से जबकि तुम अल्लाह के साथ उन चीज़ों को ख़ुदाई में शरीक ठहराते हुए नहीं डरते जिनके लिए उसने तुम पर कोई दलील नहीं उतारी, अब दोनों गिरोहों में से अमन का ज़्यादा मुस्तहिक़ कौन है (बताओ) अगर तुम सच्चे हो।
And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?"
Aur jiss cheez ko aap ney apney ilm mein na liya ho uss per sabar ker bhi kaisay saktay hain?
और जो चीज़ तुम्हारे ज्ञान-परिधि से बाहर हो, उस पर तुम धैर्य कैसे रख सकते हो?"
