الفاظ ( اٰتِنَا )

پھر جب تم ارکان حج ادا کر چکو تو اللہ تعالٰی کا ذکر کرو جس طرح تم اپنے باپ دادوں کا ذکر کیا کرتے تھے ، بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ بعض لوگ وہ بھی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں اے ہمارے رب !ہمیں دنیا میں دے ۔ ایسے لوگوں کا آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں ۔

And when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world," and he will have in the Hereafter no share.

اور بعض لوگ وہ بھی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں اے ہمارے رب !ہمیں دنیا میں نیکی دے اور آخرت میں بھی بھلائی عطا فرما اور ہمیں عذاب جہنّم سے نجات دے ۔

But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

ان چند نو جوانوں نے جب غار میں پناہ لی تو دعا کی کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہمیں اپنے پاس سے رحمت عطا فرما اور ہمارے کام میں ہمارے لئے راہ یابی کو آسان کر دے ۔

[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."

جب یہ دونوں وہاں سے آگے بڑھے تو موسیٰ نے اپنے نوجوان سے کہا کہ لا ہمارا کھانا دے ہمیں تو اپنے اس سفر سے سخت تکلیف اٹھانی پڑی ۔

So when they had passed beyond it, [Moses] said to his boy, "Bring us our morning meal. We have certainly suffered in this, our journey, [much] fatigue."
