[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
Poocha kay Allah kay bhejay huye ( farishto! ) tumhara aisa kiya eham kaam hai?
कहा कि ऐ भेजे हुए फ़रिश्तो! अब तुम्हारा क्या काम है?
And when the messengers came to the family of Lot,
Jab bhejay huye farishtay aal-e-loot kay pass phonchay.
फिर जब भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते लूत (अलै॰) के ख़ानदान वालों के पास आए।
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [ Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear.
Tu apni laathi daal dey musa ney jab ussay hilta julta dekha iss tarah kay goya woh aik saanp hai to mun moray huye peeth pher ker bhagay aur palat ker bhi na dekha aey musa! Khof na kha meray huzoor mein payghumber dara nahi kertay.
तू अपनी लाठी डाल दे।" जब मूसा ने देखा कि वह बल खा रहा है जैसे वह कोई साँप हो, तो वह पीठ फेरकर भागा और पीछे मुड़कर न देखा। "ऐ मूसा! डर मत। निस्संदेह रसूल मेरे पास डरा नहीं करते,
But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return."
Mein unhen aik hadiya bhejney wali hun phir dekh loon gi kay qasid kiya jawab ley ker lot’tay hain.
मैं उन के पास एक उपहार भेजती हूँ; फिर देखती हूँ कि दूत क्या उत्तर लेकर लौटते हैं।"
And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -
Aur aap inn kay samney aik misal ( yani aik ) basti walon ki misal ( uss waqt ka ) biyan kijiyey jabkay uss basti mein ( kaee ) rasool aaye.
उन के लिए बस्ती वालों की एक मिसाल पेश करो, जबकि वहाँ भेजे हुए दूत आए
They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."
Kahen gay haye haye! Humen humari khuwab gahaon say kiss ney utha diya. Yehi hai jiss ka wada rehman ney diya tha aur rasoolon ney sach sach keh diya tha.
कहेंगे, "ऐ अफ़सोस हम पर! किसने हमें सोते से जगा दिया? यह वही चीज़ है जिस का रहमान ने वादा किया था और रसूलों ने सच कहा था।"
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
( Hazrat Ibrahim alh-e-salam ) ney kaha kay Allah kay bhejay huye ( farishton! ) tumhara kiya maqsad hai?
उस ने कहा, "ऐ (अल्लाह के भेजे हुए) दूतों, तुम्हारे सामने क्या मुहिम है?"
