Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
Dar-asal log aik hi giroh thay Allah Taalaa ney nabiyon ko khushkhabri denay aur daraney wala bana ker bheja aur unn kay sath sachi kitaben nazil farmaeen takay logon kay her ikhtilafi amar ka faisla hojaye. Aur sirf unhi logon ney jinhen kitab di gaee thi apney pass dalaeel aa chukney kay baad aapas kay bughz-o-aeynaad ki waja say iss mein ikhtilaf kiya iss liye Allah pak ney eman walon ki iss ikhtilaf mein bhi haq ki taraf apni mashiyat say rehbari ki aur Allah jiss ko chahaye seedhi raah ki taraf rehbari kerta hai.
लोग एक उम्मत ही थे, (उन्होंने इख़्तिलाफ़ किया) तो अल्लाह ने पैग़म्बरों को भेजा ख़ुश-ख़बरी सुनाने वाले और डराने वाले बनाकर, और उनके साथ किताब उतारी हक़ के साथ; ताकि वह फ़ैसला कर दे लोगों के दरमियान उन बातों का जिनमें वे इख़्तिलाफ कर रहे हैं, और यह इख़्तिलाफ़ात उन्हीं लोगों ने किए जिनको हक़ दिया गया था, बाद इसके कि उनके पास खुली-खुली हिदायात आ चुकी थीं, आपस की ज़िद की वजह से, पस अल्लाह ने अपनी तौफ़ीक़ से हक़ के मामले में ईमान वालों को राह दिखाई जिसमें वे झगड़ रहे थे, और अल्लाह जिसको चाहता है सीधी राह दिखा देता है।
And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [ Allah ] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."
Jab Allah Taalaa ney nabiyon say ehad liya kay jo kuch mein tumhen kitab-o-hikmat doon phir tumharay pass woh rasool aaye jo tumharay pass ki cheez ko sach bataye to tumharay liye uss per eman lana aur uss ki madad kerna zaroori hai. Farmaya kay tum iss kay iqrari ho aur iss per mera zimma ley rahey ho? Sab ney kaha humen iqrar hai farmaya to abb gawah raho aur khud mein bhi tumharay sath gawahon mein hun.
और जब अल्लाह ने पैग़म्बरों से अहद लिया कि जो कुछ मैंने तुमको किताब और हिकमत दी, फिर तुम्हारे पास पैग़म्बर आए जो सच्चा साबित करे उन (पेशीन-गोइयों) को जो तुम्हारे पास हैं तो तुम उस पर ईमान लाओगे और उसकी मदद करोगे, अल्लाह ने कहाः क्या तुमने इक़रार किया और उस पर मेरा अहद क़बूल किया? उन्होंने कहाः हम इक़रार करते हैं, फ़रमायाः अब गवाह रहो और मैं भी तुम्हारे साथ गवाह हूँ।
And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.
Aur jo bhi Allah Taalaa ki aur rasool ( PBUH ) ki farmanbardari keray woh unn logon kay sath hoga jin per Allah Taalaa ney inam kiya hai jaisay nabi aur siddique aur shaheed aur nek log yeh behtareen rafiq hain.
और जो अल्लाह और रसूल की इताअत करेगा वह उन लोगों के साथ होगा जिन पर अल्लाह ने ईनाम किया है, यानी पैग़म्बरों और सच्चों और शहीदों और नेक लोगों के साथ, और कितना ही अच्छा है उनके साथ रहना।
And your Lord is most knowing of whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And We have made some of the prophets exceed others [in various ways], and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].
Aasamno-o-zamin mein jo bhi hai aap ka rab sab ko bakhoobi janta hai. Hum ney baaz payghumbaron ko baaz per behtari aur bartari di hai aur dawood ko zaboor hum ney ata farmaee hai.
और आपका रब ख़ूब जानता है उनको जो आसमानों और ज़मीन में हैं, और हमने बअज़ नबियों को बअज़ पर फ़ज़ीलत दी और हमने दाऊद (अलै॰) को ज़बूर दी।
Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.
Yehi woh anbiya hain jin per Allah Taalaa ney fazal-o-karam kiya jo aulad-e-adam mein say hain aur unn logon ki nasal say hain jinhen hum ney nooh ( alh-e-salam ) kay sath kashti mein charha liya tha aur aulad ibrahim-o-yaqoob say aur humari taraf say raaha yafta aur humaray pasandeedah logon mein say. Inn kay samney jab Allah rehman ki aayaton ki tilawat ki jati thi yeh sajda kertay aur rotay girgiratay gir partay thay.
ये वे पैग़म्बर हैं जो अल्लाह के कृपापात्र हुए, आदम की सन्तान में से और उन लोगों के वंशज में से जिन को हम ने नूह के साथ सवार किया, और इबराहीम और इसराईल के वंशज में से और उन में से जिन को हम ने सीधा मार्ग दिखाया और चुन लिया। जब उन्हें रहमान की आयतें सुनाई जातीं तो वे सजदा करते और रोते हुए गिर पड़ते थे
