And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Jab unn ka jaloot aur uss kay lashkar say muqabla hua to unhon ney dua maangi kay aey perwerdigar humen sabar dey sabit qadmi dey aur qom-e-kuffaar per humari madad farma.
और जब जालूत और उसकी फ़ौजों से उनका सामना हुआ तो उन्होंने कहाः ऐ हमारे (प्यारे) रब! हम पर सब्र डाल दीजिए और हमारे क़दमों को जमा दीजिए और इन काफिरों के मुक़ाबले में हमारी मदद फ़रमाइए।
And you do not resent us except because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You]."
Aur tu ney hum mein konsa aib dekha hai ba-juz isskay kay hum apney rab per eman ley aaye jab woh humaray pass aaye. Aey humaray rab! Humaray upper sabar ka faizan farma aur humari jaan halat-e-islam per nikal.
तुम हमको सिर्फ़ इस बात की सज़ा देना चाहते हो कि हमारे रब की निशानियाँ जब हमारे सामने आ गईं तो हम उन पर ईमान ले आए, ऐ हमारे रब! हम पर सब्र उंडेल दीजिए और हमको इस्लाम पर वफ़ात दीजिए।
He said, "Indeed, with me you will never be able to have patience.
Uss ney kaha aap meray sath hergiz sabar nahi ker saktay.
उस ने कहा, "तुम मेरे साथ धैर्य न रख सकोगे,
[Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not say that with me you would never be able to have patience?"
Uss ney jawab diya kay mein ney to pehlay hi tujh say keh diya tha kay tu meray sath hergiz sabar na ker sakay ga.
उस ने कहा, "क्या मैंने कहा नहीं था कि तुम मेरे साथ धैर्य न रख सकोगे?"
[Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?"
Woh kehney lagay kay mein ney tum say nahi kaha tha kay tum meray humraah reh ker hergiz sabar nahi ker saktay.
उस ने कहा, "क्या मैंने तुम से कहा नहीं था कि तुम मेरे साथ धैर्य न रख सकोगे?"
[Al-Khidh r] said, "This is parting between me and you. I will inform you of the interpretation of that about which you could not have patience.
Uss ney kaha bus yeh judaee hai meray aur teray darmiyan abb mein tujhay inn baton ki asliyat bhi bata doon ga jiss per tujh say sabar na ho saka.
उस ने कहा, "यह मेरे और तुम्हारे बीच जुदाई का अवसर है। अब मैं तुमको उस की वास्तविकता बताए दे रहा हूँ, जिस पर तुम धैर्य से काम न ले सके।"
And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure for them, and their father had been righteous. So your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. And I did it not of my own accord. That is the interpretation of that about which you could not have patience."
Deewar ka qissa yeh hai kay iss shehar mein do yateem bachay hain jin ka khazana inn ki iss deewar kay neechay dafan hai inn ka baap bara nek shaks tha to teray rab ki chahat thi kay yeh dono yateem apni jawani ki umar mein aaker apna yeh khazana teray rab ki meharbani aur rehmat say nikal len mein ney apni raye say koi kaam nahi kiya yeh thi asal haqeeqat unn waqiyaat ki jin per aap say sabar na hosaka.
और रही यह दीवार तो यह दो अनाथ बालकों की है जो इस नगर में रहते हैं। और इस के नीचे उन का ख़जाना मौजूद है। और उन का बाप नेक था, इसलिए तुम्हारे रब ने चाहा कि वे अपनी युवावस्था को पहुँच जाएँ और अपना ख़जाना निकाल लें। यह तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता के कारण हुआ। मैंने तो अपने अधिकार से कुछ नहीं किया। यह है वास्तविकता उस की जिस पर तुम धैर्य न रख सके।"
So be patient with gracious patience.
