And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah , nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.
Boht say nabiyon kay hum rakaab ho ker boht say Allah walay jihad ker chukay hain unhen bhi Allah ki raah mein takleefen phonchi lekin na to unhon ney himmat haari na sust rahey aur na dabay aur Allah sabar kerney walon ko ( hi ) chahata hai.
और कितने नबी हैं जिनके साथ होकर बहुत-से अल्लाह वालों ने जंग की, अल्लाह की राह में जो मुसीबतें उन पर पड़ीं उनसे वे न पस्त-हिम्मत हुए और न उन्होंने कमज़ोरी दिखाई और न ही वे दबे, और अल्लाह सब्र करने वालों को दोस्त रखता है।
And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they, therefrom, are turning away.
Aasmanon aur zamin mein bhot si nishaniyan hain. Jin say yeh mun moray guzr rahey jatay hain.
और आसमानों और ज़मीन में कितनी ही निशानियाँ हैं जिन पर से उनका गुज़र होता रहता है और वे उन पर ध्यान नहीं करते।
And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination.
Boht si zulm kerney wali bastiyon ko mein ney dheel di phir aakhir unhen pakar liya aur meri hi taraf lot ker aana hai.
कितनी ही बस्तियाँ हैं जिन को मैंने मुहलत दी इस दशा में कि वे ज़ालिम थीं। फिर मैंने उन्हें पकड़ लिया और अन्ततः आना तो मेरी ही ओर है
And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Aur boht say janwar hain jo apni rozi uthaye nahi phirtay unn sab ko aur tumhen bhi Allah Taalaa hi rozi deta hai woh bara hi sunnay jannay wala hai.
कितने ही चलने वाले जीवधारी हैं, जो अपनी रोज़ी उठाए नहीं फिरते। अल्लाह ही उन्हें रोज़ी देता है और तुम्हें भी! वह सब कुछ सुनता, जानता है
And how many a city was stronger than your city [Makkah] which drove you out? We destroyed them; and there was no helper for them.
Hum ney kitni bastiyon ko jo taqat mein teri iss basti say ziyadah thin jiss say tujhay nikala hum ney unhen halak ker diya jinka madadgar koi na utha.
कितनी ही बस्तियाँ थी जो शक्ति में तुम्हारी उस बस्ती से, जिस ने तुम्हें निकाल दिया, बढ़-चढ़कर थीं। हम ने उन्हे विनष्ट कर दिया! फिर कोई उन का सहायक न हुआ
And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment.
Aur boht si basti walon ney apney rab kay hukum say aur uss kay rasoolon say sir taabi ki aur hum ney bhi unn say sakht hisab kiya aur unhen azab diya unn dekha ( sakht ) azab.
कितनी ही बस्तियाँ हैं जिन्होंने रब और उस के रसूलों के आदेश के मुक़ाबले में सरकशी की, तो हम ने उन की सख़्त पकड़ की और उन्हें बुरी यातना दी
