And indeed, We will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground.
Iss per jo kuch hai hum ussay aik humwaar saaf maidan ker dalney walay hain.
और जो कुछ उस पर है उसे तो हम एक चटियल मैदान बना देने वाले हैं
I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam].
Mujhay unn buland qadar farishton ki ( baat cheet ka ) koi ilm hi nahi jabkay woh takraar ker rahey thay.
मुझे 'मलए आला' (ऊपरी लोक के फ़रिश्तों) का कोई ज्ञान नहीं था, जब वे वाद-विवाद कर रहे थे
Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.
Mard aurton per haakim hain iss waja say kay Allah Taalaa ney aik ko doosray per fazilat di hai aur iss waja say kay mardon ney apney maal kharach kiye hain pus nek farman bardaar aurten khawind ki adam mojoodgi mein ba hifazat-e-elahee nigehdasht rakhen waliyan hain aur jin aurton ki na farmani aur bad dimaghi ka tumhen khof ho unhen naseehat kero aur unhen alag biostaron per chor do aur unhen maar ki saza do phir agar woh tabey daari keren to unn per koi raasta talash na kero be-shak Allah Taalaa bari bulandi aur baraee wala hai.
मर्द औरतों पर निगराँ हैं, इस बिना पर कि अल्लाह ने एक को दूसरे पर बड़ाई दी है और इस वजह से कि मर्द ने अपने माल ख़र्च किए, पस जो नेक औरतें हैं वे फ़रमाँबरदारी करने वाली, पीठ पीछे (शौहर के हुक़ूक़ का) ख़्याल रखती हैं अल्लाह की हिफ़ाज़त से, और जिन औरतों की नाफ़रमानी का तुमको अंदेशा हो तो तुम उनको समझाओ और उनको उनके बिस्तरों में तन्हा छोड़ दो और उनको हल्की सज़ा दो, फिर अगर वे तुम्हारी फरमाँबरदारी करें तो उनके ख़िलाफ़ इल्ज़ाम की तलाश न करो, बेशक अल्लाह सबसे बुलंद है, बहुत बड़ा है।
And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah . If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided.
Aur jaan rakho kay tum mein Allah kay rasool mojood hain agar woh tumhara kaha kertay rahey boht umoor mein, to tum mushkil mein par jao lekin Allah Taalaa ney eman ko tumharay liye mehboob bana diya hai aur issay tumharay dilon mein zeenat dey rakhi hai aur kufur ko aur gunah ko aur nafarmaani ko tumhari nighaon mein napasandeedah bana diya hai, yehi log raah yaafta hain.
जान लो कि तुम्हारे बीच अल्लाह का रसूल मौजूद है। बहुत-से मामलों में यदि वह तुम्हारी बात मान ले तो तुम कठिनाई में पड़ जाओ। किन्तु अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए ईमान को प्रिय बना दिया और उसे तुम्हारे दिलों में सुन्दरता दे दी और इनकार, उल्लंघन और अवज्ञा को तुम्हारे लिए बहुत अप्रिय बना दिया।
Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
Bani israeek kay kafiron per ( hazrat ) dawood ( alh-e-salam ) aur ( hazrat ) essa bin marium ( alh-e-salam ) ki zabani laanat ki gaee iss waja say kay woh na farmaniyan kertay thay aur hadd say aagay barh jatay thay.
बनी-इस्राईल में से जिन लोगों ने कुफ़्र किया उन पर लानत की गई दाऊद और ईसा बिन मरियम की ज़बान से; इसलिए कि उन्होंने नाफ़रमानी की और वे हद से आगे बढ़ जाते थे।
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.
Lekin unhon ney apney rab kay hukum say sirtabi ki jiss per unhen unkay dekhtay dekhtay ( tez-o-tund ) karakay ney halak kerdiya.
किन्तु उन्होंने अपने रब के आदेश की अवहेलना की; फिर कड़क ने उन्हें आ लिया और वे देखते रहे
And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment.
Aur boht si basti walon ney apney rab kay hukum say aur uss kay rasoolon say sir taabi ki aur hum ney bhi unn say sakht hisab kiya aur unhen azab diya unn dekha ( sakht ) azab.
कितनी ही बस्तियाँ हैं जिन्होंने रब और उस के रसूलों के आदेश के मुक़ाबले में सरकशी की, तो हम ने उन की सख़्त पकड़ की और उन्हें बुरी यातना दी
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
To us ney jhutlaya aur na fermani ki
किन्तु उस ने झुठला दिया और कहा न माना,
