تم پر مُردہ اور ( بہا ہوا ) خون اور سور کا گوشت اور ہر وہ چیز جس پر اللہ کے سوا دوسروں کا نام پکارا گیا ہو حرام ہے پھر جو مجبور ہو جائے اور وہ حد سے بڑھنے والا اور زیادتی کرنے والا نہ ہو ، اس پر ان کے کھانے میں کوئی گناہ نہیں ، اللہ تعالٰی بخشش کرنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

ہم ( اس امید سے ) اپنے پروردگار پر ایمان لائے کہ وہ ہماری خطائیں معاف فرما دے اور ( خاص کر ) جادوگری ( کا گناہ ) جس پر تم نے ہمیں مجبور کیا ہے اللہ ہی بہتر اور ہمیشہ باقی رہنے والا ہے ۔

Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring."

اور ان لوگوں کو پاک دامن رہنا چاہیے جو اپنا نکاح کرنے کا مقدور نہیں رکھتے یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالٰی انہیں اپنے فضل سے مالدار بنا دے ، تمہارے غلاموں میں سے جو کوئی کچھ تمہیں دے کر آزادی کی تحریر کرانی چاہے تو تم ایسی تحریر انہیں کر دیا کرو اگر تم کو ان میں کوئی بھلائی نظر آتی ہو اور اللہ نے جو مال تمہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے انہیں بھی دو ، تمہاری جو لونڈیاں پاک دامن رہنا چاہتی ہیں انہیں دنیا کی زندگی کے فائدے کی غرض سے بدکاری پر مجبور نہ کرو اور جو انہیں مجبور کر دے تو اللہ تعالٰی ان پر جبر کے بعد بخش دینے والا اور مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess - then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek [thereby] the temporary interests of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is [to them], after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful.

مومنوں کو چاہیے کہ ایمان والوں کو چھوڑ کر کافروں کو اپنا دوست نہ بنائیں اور جو ایسا کرے گا وہ اللہ تعالٰی کی کسی حمایت میں نہیں مگر یہ کہ ان کے شر سے کسی طرح بچاؤ مقصود ہو اور اللہ تعالٰی خود تمہیں اپنی ذات سے ڈرا رہا ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی ہی کی طرف لوٹ جانا ہے ۔

Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah , except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.

تم پر حرام کیا گیا مردار اور خون اور خنزیر کا گوشت اور جس پر اللہ کے سوا دوسرے کا نام پکارا گیا ہو ، اور جو گلا گھٹنے سے مرا ہو ، اور جو کسی ضرب سے مر گیا ہو اور جو اونچی جگہ سے گر کر مرا ہو جو کسی کے سینگ مارنے سے مرا ہو ، اور جسے درندوں نے پھاڑ کھایا ہو ، لیکن اسے تم ذبح کر ڈالو تو حرام نہیں ، اور جو آستانوں پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو ، اور یہ بھی کہ قرعہ کے تیروں کے ذریعے فال گیری ہو ، یہ سب بدترین گناہ ہیں ، آج کفار تمھارے دین سے ناآمید ہوگئے ، خبردار تم ان سے نہ ڈرنا اور مجھ سے ڈرتے رہنا ، آج میں نے تمہارے لئے دین کو کامل کر دیا اور تم پر اپنا انعام بھرپور کر دیا اور تمہارے لئے اسلام کے دین ہونے پر رضامند ہوگیا ۔ پس جو شخص شدت کی بھوک میں بے قر ار ہو جائے بشرطیکہ کسی گناہ کی طرف اس کا میلان نہ ہو تو یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی معاف کرنے والا ہے اور بہت بڑا مہربان ہے ( ۱۰ ) ۔

Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اور آخر کیا وجہ ہے کہ تم ایسے جانور میں سے نہ کھاؤ جس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو حالانکہ اللہ تعالٰی نے ان سب جانوروں کی تفصیل بتا دی ہے جن کو تم پر حرام کیا ہے مگر وہ بھی جب تم کو سخت ضرورت پڑ جائے تو حلال ہے اور یہ یقینی بات ہے کہ بہت سے آدمی اپنے خیالات پر بلا کسی سند کے گمراہ کرتے ہیں اس میں کوئی شبہ نہیں کہ اللہ تعالٰی حد سے نکل جانے والوں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors.
