And certainly did We send Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds."
Aur hum ney musa ( alh-e-salam ) ko apni nishaniyan dey ker firaon aur usskay umraa kay pass bheja to ( Musa alh-e-salam ney jaa ker ) kaha kay mein tamam jahano kay rab ka rasool hun.
और हम ने मूसा को अपनी निशानियों के साथ फ़िरऔन और उस के सरदारों के पास भेजा तो उस ने कहा, "मैं सारे संसार के रब का रसूल हूँ।"
But when he brought them Our signs, at once they laughed at them.
Pus jab woh humari nishaniyan ley ker unn kay pass aaye to be-saakhta unn per hansney lagay.
लेकिन जब वह उन के पास हमारी निशानियाँ लेकर आया तो क्या देखते हैं कि वे लगे उन की हँसी उड़ाने
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
Aur hum unhen jo nishaniyan dikhatay thay woh doosray say barhi chahrhi hoti thi aur hum ney unhen azab mein pakra takay woh baaz aajayen.
और हम उन्हें जो निशानी भी दिखाते वह अपने प्रकार की पहली निशानी से बढ़-चढ़कर होती और हम ने उन्हें यातना से ग्रस्त कर लिया, ताकि वे रुजू करें
And they said [to Moses], "O magician, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. Indeed, we will be guided."
Aur unhon ney kaha aey jadoogar! Humaray liye apnay rab say uss ki dua ker jiss ka uss ney tujh say wada ker rakha hai yaqeen maan kay hum raah per lag jayen gay.
उन का कहना था, "ऐ जादूगर! अपने रब से हमारे लिए प्रार्थना कर, उस प्रतिज्ञा के आधार पर जो उस ने तुझ से कर रखी है। निश्चय ही हम सीधे मार्ग पर चलेंगे।"
But when We removed from them the affliction, at once they broke their word.
Phir jab hum ney woh azab unn say hata liya unhon ney ussi waqt apna qol-o-qarar tor diya.
फिर जब भी हम उन पर से यातना हटा देते हैं, तो क्या देखते हैं कि वे प्रतिज्ञा-भंग कर रहे हैं
And Pharaoh called out among his people; he said, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?
Aur firaon ney apni qom mein munadi keraee aur kaha aey meri qom! Kiya misir ka mulk mera nahi? Aur meray ( mehlon kay ) neechay yeh nehren beh rahi hain kiya tum dekhtay nahi?
फ़िरऔन ने अपनी क़ौम के बीच पुकारकर कहा, "ऐ मेरी क़ौम के लोगो! क्या मिस्र का राज्य मेरा नहीं और ये मेरे नीचे बहती नहरें? तो क्या तुम देखते नहीं?
Or am I [not] better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear?
Bulkay mein behtar hun ba-nisbat uss kay jo be-toqeer hai aur saaf bol bhi nahi sakta.
(यह अच्छा है) या मैं इस से अच्छा हूँ जो तुच्छ है, और साफ़ बोल भी नहीं पाता?
Then why have there not been placed upon him bracelets of gold or come with him the angels in conjunction?"
Acha iss per soney kay kanggan kiyon nahi aa paray ya iss kay sath per bandh ker farishtay hi aajatay.
(यदि वह रसूल है तो) फिर ऐसा क्यों न हुआ कि उस के लिए ऊपर से सोने के कंगन डाले गए होते या उस के साथ पार्श्ववर्ती होकर फ़रिश्ते आए होते?"
So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allah ].
Uss ney apni qom ko behlaya phuslaya aur unhon ney ussi ki maan li yaqeenan yeh saray hi nafarman log thay.
तो उस ने अपनी क़ौम के लोगों को मूर्ख बनाया और उन्होंने उस की बात मान ली। निश्चय ही वे अवज्ञाकारी लोग थे
And when they angered Us, We took retribution from them and drowned them all.
Phir jab unhon ney humen gussa dilaya to hum ney unn say intiqam liya aur sab ko dubo diya.
अन्ततः जब उन्होंने हमें अप्रसन्न कर दिया तो हम ने उन से बदला लिया और हम ने उन सबको डूबो दिया
And We made them a precedent and an example for the later peoples.
Pus hum ney unhen gaya guzra ker diya aur pichlon kay liye misal bana di.
अतः हम ने उन्हें अग्रगामी और बाद वालों के लिए शिक्षाप्रद उदाहरण बना दिया
