So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!
So jissay uska nama e amal us kay daein hath mein diya jaey ga to wo kehnay lagay ga kay lo mera nama e amal parh lo
फिर जिस किसी को उस का कर्म-पत्र उस के दाहिने हाथ में दिया गया, तो वह कहेगा, "लो पढ़ो, मेरा कर्म-पत्र!
Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."
Mujhy to kamil yaqeen tha kay mujhy apna hisab milna hay
"मैं तो समझता ही था कि मुझे अपना हिसाब मिलने वाला है।"
So he will be in a pleasant life -
Pus wo ik dil pasand zindagi mein ho ga
अतः वह सुख और आनन्दमय जीवन में होगा;
In an elevated garden,
Bulan o bala jant mein
उच्च जन्नत में,
Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.
Jiss kay meway jhokay paray hon gay
जिस के फलों के गुच्छे झुके होंगे
[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past."
( in say kaha jaey ga ) kay mazay say khao piyo apney in amal kay badlay jo tum ney guzishta zamanay mein kiy
मज़े से खाओ और पियो उन कर्मों के बदले में जो तुम ने बीते दिनों में किए हैं
But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record
Lakin jissay uss ( kay amal ) ki kitab us kay baein hath mein di jaey gi wo to kahy ga kay kash kay mujhy meri kitab di hi na jati
और रहा वह व्यक्ति जिस का कर्म-पत्र उस के बाएँ हाथ में दिया गया, वह कहेगा, "काश, मेरा कर्म-पत्र मुझे न दिया जाता
And had not known what is my account.
Aur mein janta hi na kay hisab kiya hay
और मैं न जानता कि मेरा हिसाब क्या है!
I wish my death had been the decisive one.
Kash ! kay moot ( mera ) kam hi tamam kerdyti
"ऐ काश, वह (मृत्यु) समाप्त करने वाली होती!
My wealth has not availed me.
Mery maal ney bhi mujhy kuch nafa na diya
"मेरा माल मेरे कुछ काम न आया,
Gone from me is my authority."
Mera ghalba bhi mujhsy jata raha
"मेरा ज़ोर (सत्ता) मुझ से जाता रहा!"
[ Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him.
( hokum hoga ) issay pakar lo phir issy toq phyna do
"पकड़ो उसे और उस की गरदन में तौक़ डाल दो,
Then into Hellfire drive him.
Phir isay dozakh mein dal do
"फिर उसे भड़कती हुई आग में झोंक दो,
Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him."
Phir issy asi zanjeer mein jiss ki paymaish satter hath ki hay jaker do
"फिर उसे एक ऐसी जंजीर में जकड़ दो जिस की माप सत्तर हाथ है
Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah , the Most Great,
Beshak yeh Allah azmat walay per iman na rakhta tha
"वह न तो महिमावान अल्लाह पर ईमान रखता था
Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.
Aur miskeen kay khilanay per raghbat na dilata tha
और न मुहताज को खाना खिलाने पर उभारता था
So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend
Pus aj iska na koi dost hay
"अतः आज उस का यहाँ कोई घनिष्ट मित्र नहीं,
Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;
Aur na siway peep kay is ki koi ghiza hay
और न ही धोवन के सिवा कोई भोजन है,
None will eat it except the sinners.
Jissay ghunahgaron kay siwa koi nai kahey ga
"उसे ख़ताकारों (अपराधियों) के अतिरिक्त कोई नहीं खाता।"
