الفاظ ( مَّعَ )

جب کوئی سورت اتاری جاتی ہے کہ اللہ پر ایمان لاؤ اور اس کے رسول کے ساتھ مل کر جہاد کرو تو ان میں سے دولت مندوں کا ایک طبقہ آپ کے پاس آکر یہ کہہ کر رخصت لے لیتا ہے کہ ہمیں تو بیٹھے رہنے والوں میں ہی چھوڑ دیجئے ۔

And when a surah was revealed [enjoining them] to believe in Allah and to fight with His Messenger, those of wealth among them asked your permission [to stay back] and said, "Leave us to be with them who sit [at home]."

بھلا بتاؤ تو؟ کہ آسمانوں کو اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا؟ کس نے آسمان سے بارش برسائی؟ پھر اس سے ہرے بھرے بارونق باغات اگا دئیے؟ ان باغوں کے درختوں کو تم ہرگز نہ اگا سکتے ، کیا اللہ کے ساتھ اور کوئی معبود بھی ہے؟ بلکہ یہ لوگ ہٹ جاتے ہیں ( سیدھی راہ سے ) ۔

[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah ? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].

کیا وہ جس نے زمین کو قرار گاہ بنایا اور اس کے درمیان نہریں جاری کر دیں اور اس کے لئے پہاڑ بنائے اور دو سمندروں کے درمیان روک بنا دی کیا اللہ کے ساتھ اور کوئی معبود بھی ہے؟ بلکہ ان میں سے اکثر کچھ جانتے ہی نہیں ۔

Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allah ? [No], but most of them do not know.

بے کس کی پکار کو جب کہ وہ پکارے کون قبول کر کے سختی کو دور کر دیتا ہے ؟ اور تمہیں زمین کا خلیفہ بنانا ہے کیا اللہ تعالٰی کے ساتھ اور معبود ہے؟ تم بہت کم نصیحت و عبرت حاصل کرتے ہو ۔

Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Little do you remember.

کیا وہ جو تمہیں خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں راہ دکھاتا ہے اور جو اپنی رحمت سے پہلے ہی خوشخبریاں دینے والی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود بھی ہے جنہیں یہ شریک کرتے ہیں ان سب سے اللہ بلند و بالا تر ہے ۔

Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah ? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

کیا وہ جو مخلوق کی اول دفعہ پیدائش کرتا ہے پھر اسے لوٹائے گا اور جو تمہیں آسمان اور زمین سے روزیاں دے رہا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ہے کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر سچے ہو تو اپنی دلیل لاؤ ۔

Is He [not best] who begins creation and then repeats it and who provides for you from the heaven and earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

البتہ یہ اپنے بوجھ ڈھولیں گے اور اپنے بوجھوں کے ساتھ ہی اور بوجھ بھی اور جو کچھ افترا پردازیاں کر رہے ہیں ان سب کی بابت ان سے باز پرس کی جائے گی ۔

But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent.

وہی ہے جس نے مسلمانوں کے دلوں میں سکون ( اور اطمینان ) ڈال دیا تاکہ اپنے ایمان کے ساتھ ہی ساتھ اور بھی ایمان میں بڑھ جائیں اور آسمانوں اور زمین کے ( کل ) لشکر اللہ ہی کے ہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی دانا با حکمت ہے ۔

It is He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allah Knowing and Wise.
