And [by] the even [number] and the odd
Aur juft aur taaq ki
साक्षी है युग्म और अयुग्म,
And [by] the night when it passes,
Aur raat ki jab wo chalney lagy
साक्षी है रात जब वह विदा हो रही हो
Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?
Kiya inmein aqalmand kay wasty kafi qisam hay?
क्या इसमें बुद्धिमान के लिए बड़ी गवाही है?
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -
Kiya ap ney nahi dekha ka yap kay rab nay Qom aad kay sath kiya kiya?
क्या तुम ने देखा नहीं कि तुम्हारे रब ने क्या किया आद के साथ,
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
Satoonon waly erum kay sath
स्तम्भों वाले 'इरम' के साथ?
The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
Jis ki manind ( koi qum ) mulko mein paida nahi ki gai
वे ऐसे थे जिन के सदृश बस्तियों में पैदा नहीं हुए
And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
Aur qum-e-samood kay sath jinho nay wadi mein bary bary pather trashy thy
और समूद के साथ, जिन्होंने घाटी में चट्टाने तराशी थी,
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -
Aur firoon kay sath jo meekhon wala tha
और मेखो वाले फ़िरऔन के साथ?
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
In sabhon nay shiron mein sir utha rakha tha
वे लोग कि जिन्होंने देशो में सरकशी की,
And increased therein the corruption.
Aur bohat fasad macha rakha tha
और उन में बहुत बिगाड़ पैदा किया
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
Akhir tery rab nay in sab py azab ka kora barsaya
अततः तुम्हारे रब ने उन पर यातना का कोड़ा बरसा दिया
Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
Yaqeenan tera rab ghat mein hay
निस्संदेह तुम्हारा रब घात में रहता है
