Those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.
Yeh woh log hai jinhon ney duniya ki zindagi ko aakhirat kay badlay khareed liya hai inn kay na to azab halkay hongay aur na inn ki madad ki jaye gi.
यही लोग हैं जिन्होंने आख़िरत के बदले दुनिया की ज़िंदगी ख़रीदी, पस न उनका अज़ाब हल्का किया जाएगा और न उनको मदद पहुँचेगी।
So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.
Pus jo log duniya ki zindagi ko aakhirat kay badlay baich chukay hain unhen Allah Taalaa ki raah mein jihad kerna chahaiye aur jo shaks Allah Taalaa ki raah mein jihad kertay huye shahdat paa ley ya ghalib aajaye yaqeenan hum ussay bara sawab inayat farmayen gay.
पस चाहिए कि लड़ें अल्लाह की राह में वे लोग जो आख़िरत के बदले दुनिया की ज़िंदगी को बेच देते हैं, और जो शख़्स अल्लाह की राह में लड़े फिर मारा जाए या ग़ालिब आ जाए तो हम उसको बड़ा अज्र देंगे।
Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.
Jo shaks duniya ki zindagi aur iss ki zeenat per farifta hua chahata ho hum aison ko unn kay kul aemaal ( ka badla ) yahin bharpoor phoncha detay hain aur yahan enhen koi kami nahi ki jati.
जो लोग दुनिया की ज़िंदगी और उसकी ज़ीनत चाहते हैं हम उनके आमाल का बदला दुनिया ही में दे देते हैं और उसमें उनके साथ कोई कमी नहीं की जाती।
The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah , seeking to make it ( seem ) deviant. Those are in extreme error.
Jo aakhirat kay muqablay mein dunyawi zindagi ko pasand rakhtay hain aur Allah ki raah say roktay hain aur iss mein terh pann peda kerna chahatay hain. Yehi log parli darjay ki gumrahi mein hain.
जो कि आख़िरत के मुक़ाबले में दुनिया की ज़िंदगी को पसंद करते हैं और अल्लाह के रास्ते से रोकते हैं और उसमें कजी (टेढ़ापन) निकालना चाहते हैं, ये लोग रास्ते से भटक कर बहुत दूर जा पड़े हैं।
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
Yeh iss liye kay enhon ney duniya ki zindagi ko aakhirat per ziyada mehboob rakgha. Yaqeenan Allah Taalaa kafir logon ko raah-e-raast nahi dikhata.
यह इस वास्ते कि उन्होंने आख़िरत के मुक़ाबले में दुनिया की ज़िंदगी को पसंद किया, और अल्लाह मुनकिरों को रास्ता नहीं दिखाता।
They said, "Never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] He who created us. So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life.
Unhon ney jawab diya kay na-mumkin hai kay hum tujhay tarjeeh den inn daleelon per jo humaray samney aa chukin aur uss Allah per jiss ney humen peda kiya hai abb to jo kuch tu kerney wala hai ker guzar tu jo kuch bhi hukum chala sakta hai wo issi duniyawi zindagi mein hi hai.
उन्होंने कहा, "जो स्पष्ट निशानियाँ हमारे सामने आ चुकी हैं उन के मुक़ाबले में सौगंध है उस सत्ता की, जिस ने हमें पैदा किया है, हम कदापि तुझे प्राथमिकता नहीं दे सकते। तो जो कुछ तू फ़ैसला करने वाला है, कर ले। तू बस इसी सांसारिक जीवन का फ़ैसला कर सकता है
So he came out before his people in his adornment. Those who desired the worldly life said, "Oh, would that we had like what was given to Qarun. Indeed, he is one of great fortune."
Pus qaroon poori aaraeesh kay sath apni qom kay majmay mein nikla to dunyawi zindagi kay matwalay kehney lagay kaash kay humen bhi kissi tarah woh mill jata jo qaroon ko diya gaya hai. Yeh to bara hi qismat ka dhani hai.
फिर वह अपनी क़ौम के सामने अपने ठाठ-बाट में निकला। जो लोग सांसारिक जीवन के चाहने वाले थे, उन्होंने कहा, "क्या ही अच्छा होता जैसा कुछ क़ारून को मिला है, हमें भी मिला होता! वह तो बड़ा ही भाग्यशाली है।"
O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you should desire the worldly life and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and give you a gracious release.
Aey nabi! Apni biwiyon say keh do kay agar tum zindaganiy-e-duniya aur zeenat-e-duniya chahati ho to aao mein tumhen kuch dey dila doon aur tumhen achaee kay sath tukhsat ker doon.
ऐ नबी! अपनी पत्नियों से कह दो कि "यदि तुम सांसारिक जीवन और उस की शोभा चाहती हो तो आओ, मैं तुम्हें कुछ दे-दिलाकर भली रीति से विदा कर दूँ
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.
To app iss say mun mor len jo humari yaad say mun moray aur jinka iradah ba-juz zindagan-e-duniya kay aur kuch na ho.
अतः तुम उसको ध्यान में न लाओ जो हमारे ज़िक्र से मुँह मोड़ता है और सांसारिक जीवन के सिवा उस ने कुछ नहीं चाहा
And preferred the life of the world,
Aur duneyawi zindagi ko tarjeeh di ( hogi )
और सांसारिक जीवन को प्राथमिकता दी होगी,
But you prefer the worldly life,
Lakin tum to duniya ki zindagi ko tarjeeh dyty ho
नहीं, बल्कि तुम तो सांसारिक जीवन को प्राथमिकता देते हो,
