الفاظ ( وَقَالُوْٓا )

اور یہ کہتے ہیں کہ صرف یہی دنیاوی زندگی ہماری زندگی ہے اور ہم زندہ نہ کئے جائیں گے ۔

And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected."

کیا تمہارے پاس تم سے پہلے کے لوگوں کی خبریں نہیں آئیں؟ یعنی قوم نوح کی اور عاد و ثمود کی اور ان کے بعد والوں کی جنہیں سوائے اللہ تعالٰی کے اور کوئی نہیں جانتا ان کے پاس ان کے رسول معجزے لائے لیکن انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ میں دبا لیے اور صاف کہہ دیا کہ جو کچھ تمہیں دے کر بھیجا گیا ہے ہم اس کے منکر ہیں اور جس چیز کی طرف تم ہمیں بلا رہے ہو ہمیں تو اس میں بڑا بھاری شبہ ہے ۔

Has there not reached you the news of those before you - the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud and those after them? No one knows them but Allah . Their messengers brought them clear proofs, but they returned their hands to their mouths and said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."

انہوں نے کہا کہ کیاجب ہم ہڈیاں اور ( مٹی ہو کر ) ریزہ ریزہ ہوجائیں گے تو کیا ہم از سر نو پیدا کرکے پھر دوبارہ اٹھا کر کھڑے کر دیئے جائیں گے ۔

And they say, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we [truly] be resurrected as a new creation?"

یہ سب ہماری آیتوں سے کفر کرنے اور اس کہنے کا بدلہ ہے کہ کیا جب ہم ہڈیاں اور ریزے ریزے ہوجائیں گے پھر ہم نئی پیدائش میں اٹھا کھڑے کئے جائیں گے؟

That is their recompense because they disbelieved in Our verses and said, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we [truly] be resurrected [in] a new creation?"

اور یہ بھی کہا کہ یہ تو اگلوں کے افسانے ہیں جو اس نے لکھا رکھے ہیں بس وہی صبح و شام اس کے سامنے پڑھے جاتے ہیں ۔

And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."

پھر جب ان کے پاس ہماری طرف سے حق آپہنچا تو کہتے ہیں کہ یہ وہ کیوں نہیں دیا گیا جیسے دیئے گئے تھے موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) اچھا تو کیا موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کو جو کچھ دیا گیا تھا اس کے ساتھ لوگوں نے کفر نہیں کیا تھا صاف کہا تھا کہ یہ دونوں جادوگر ہیں جو ایک دوسرے کے مددگار ہیں اور ہم تو ان سب کے منکر ہیں ۔

But when the truth came to them from Us, they said, "Why was he not given like that which was given to Moses?" Did they not disbelieve in that which was given to Moses before? They said, "[They are but] two works of magic supporting each other, and indeed we are, in both, disbelievers."

کہنے لگے اگر ہم آپ کے ساتھ ہو کر ہدایت کے تابعدار بن جائیں تو ہم تو اپنے ملک سے اچک لئے جائیں کیا ہم نے انہیں امن و امان اور حرمت والے حرم میں جگہ نہیں دی؟ جہاں تمام چیزوں کے پھل کھچےچلے آتے ہیں جو ہمارے پاس بطور رزق کے ہیں لیکن ان میں سے اکثر کچھ نہیں جانتے ۔

And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.

اور انہوں نے کہا کیا جب ہم زمین میں رل مل جائیں گے کیا پھر نئی پیدائش میں آجائیں گے؟ بلکہ ( بات یہ ہے ) کہ وہ لوگ اپنے پروردگار کی ملاقات کے منکر ہیں ۔

And they say, "When we are lost within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers.

اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تو بالکل کھلم کھلا جادو ہی ہے ۔

And say, "This is not but obvious magic.

اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا وہ؟ تجھ سے ان کا یہ کہنا محض جھگڑے کی غرض سے ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو ۔

And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.
