Those who do not know say, "Why does Allah not speak to us or there come to us a sign?" Thus spoke those before them like their words. Their hearts resemble each other. We have shown clearly the signs to a people who are certain [in faith].
Issi tarah bey ilm logon ney bhi kaha kay khud Allah Taalaa hum say baaten kiyon nahi kerta ya humaray pass koi nishani kiyon nahi aati? Issi tarah aisi hi baat inn kay aglon ney bhi kahi thi unn kay aur inn kay dil yaksan hogaye. Hum ney to yaqeen kerney walon kay liye nishaniyan biyan ker den.
और जो लोग इल्म नहीं रखते उन्होंने कहाः अल्लाह क्यों कलाम नहीं करता हमसे, या हमारे पास कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं आती, इसी तरह उनके अगले भी इन्हीं की सी बात कह चुके हैं, उन सबके दिल एक जैसे हैं, हमने पेश कर दी हैं निशानियाँ उन लोगों के लिए जो यक़ीन करने वाले हैं।
Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.
Yaqeenan tumharay liye ibrat ki nishani thi unn do jamaton mein jo guth gaee thin aik jamat to Allah Taalaa ki raah mein larr rahi thi aur doosra giroh kafiron ka tha woh unhen apni aankhon say apney say dugna dekhtay thay aur Allah Taalaa jisay chahaye apni madad say qavi kerta hai. Yaqeenan iss mein aankhon walon kay liye bari ibrat hai.
बेशक तुम्हारे लिए निशानी है उन दो गिरोहों में जिनका (बदर में) आमना-सामना हुआ, एक गिरोह अल्लाह की राह में लड़ रहा था, और दूसरा मुनकिर था, ये मुनकिर खुली आँखों से उन ईमान वालों को दोगुना देख रहे थे, और अल्लाह जिसको चाहता है अपनी मदद के ज़रिए ताक़त दे देता है, बेशक उसमें आँखों वालों के लिए बड़ा सबक़ है।
And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know."
Aur yeh log kehtay hain kay inn per koi moajza kiyon nahi nazil kiya gaya inn kay rab ki taraf say aap farma dijiye kay Allah Taalaa ko bey shak poori qudrat hai iss per kay woh moajza nazil farma dey lekin inn mein aksar bey khabar hain.
और वे कहते हैं कि रसूल पर कोई निशानी उसके रब की तरफ़ से क्यों नहीं उतरी? आप कहिए कि बेशक अल्लाह क़ादिर है कि कोई निशानी उतारे मगर अकसर लोग नहीं जानते।
And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with Allah ." And what will make you perceive that even if a sign came, they would not believe.
Aur inn logon ney qasmon mein bara zor laga ker Allah Taalaa ki qasam khaee kay agar inn kay pass koi nishani aajaye to woh zaroor hi uss per eman ley aayen gay aap keh dijiye kay nishaniyan sab Allah kay qabzay mein hain aur tum ko iss ki kiya khabar kay woh nishaniyan jiss waqt aajayen gi yeh log tab bhi eman na layen gay.
और ये लोग अल्लाह की क़सम बड़े ज़ोर-शोर से खाकर कहते हैं कि अगर उनके पास कोई निशानी आ जाए तो वे ज़रूर उस पर ईमान ले आएंगे, आप कह दीजिए कि निशानियाँ तो अल्लाह के पास बहुत हैं, और तुम्हें क्या ख़बर कि अगर निशानियाँ आ भी जाएं तब भी ये ईमान नहीं लाएंगे।
And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allah ." Allah is most knowing of where He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allah and severe punishment for what they used to conspire.
Aur jab inn ko koi aayat phonchti hai to yun kehtay hain kay hum hergiz eman na layen gay jab tak kay hum ko bhi aisi hi cheez na di jaye jo Allah kay rasoolon ko di jati hai iss moqay ko to Allah hi khoob janta hai kay kahan woh apni payghumbari rakhay? Un-qarib inn logon ko jinhon ney jurm kiya hai Allah kay pass phonch ker zillat phonchay gi aur inn ki shararaton kay muqablay mein sazay-e-sakht.
और जब उनके पास कोई निशानी आती है तो वे कहते हैं कि हम हरगिज़ न मानेंगे जब तक कि हमको भी वही न दिया जाए जो अल्लाह के पैग़म्बरों को दिया गया, अल्लाह ही बेहतर जानता है कि वह अपनी पैग़म्बरी किसको बख़्शे, जो लोग मुजरिम हैं उनको ज़रूर अल्लाह के यहाँ ज़िल्लत नसीब होगी और सख़्त अज़ाब भी इस वजह से कि वे मक्र करते थे।
And they say, "Why is a sign not sent down to him from his Lord?" So say, "The unseen is only for Allah [to administer], so wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."
Aur yeh log yun kehtay hain kay inn per inn kay rab ki janib say koi nishani kiyon nahi nazil hoti? So aap farma dijiye kay ghaib ki khabar sirf Allah ko hai so tum bhi muntazir raho mein bhi tumharay sath munatazir hun.
और वे कहते हैं कि नबी पर उसके रब की तरफ़ से कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं उतारी गई, कह दें कि ग़ैब की ख़बर तो अल्लाह ही को है, पस तुम लोग इंतिज़ार करो मैं भी तुम्हारे साथ इंतिज़ार करने वालों में से हूँ।
And those who disbelieved say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" You are only a warner, and for every people is a guide.
Aur kafir kehtay hain kay iss per iss kay rab ki taraf say koi nishani ( moajzza ) kiyon nahi utari gaee. Baat yeh hai kay aap to sirf aagah ker denay walay hain aur her qom kay liye hadi hai.
और जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया वे कहते हैं कि इस शख़्स पर उसके रब की तरफ़ से कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं उतरी, आप तो सिर्फ़ ख़बरदार कर देने वाले हो, और हर क़ौम के लिए एक राह बताने वाला है।
And those who disbelieved say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him] -
Kafir kehtay hain kay iss per koi nishani ( moajzza ) kiyon nahi nazil nahi kiya gaya? Jawab dey dijiye kay jisay Allah gumrah kerna chahaye ker deta hai aur jo uss ki taraf jhukay ussay raasta dikha deta hai.
और जिन्होंने इनकार किया वे कहते हैं कि इस शख़्स पर उसके रब की तरफ़ से कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं उतारी गई, कह दीजिए कि बेशक अल्लाह जिसको चाहता है गुमराह कर देता है और वह अपना रास्ता उसी को दिखाता है जो उसकी तरफ़ मुतवज्जह हो।
There was for [the tribe of] Saba' in their dwelling place a sign: two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left. [They were told], "Eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land [have you], and a forgiving Lord."
Qom-e-saba kay liye apni bastiyon mein ( qudrat-e-elahee ki ) nishani thi unn kay dayen bayen do baagh thay ( hum ney unn ko hukum diya tha kay ) apnay rab ki di hui rozi khao aur uss ka shukar ada kero yeh umdah shehar aur woh bakhshney wala rab hai.
सबा के लिए उन के निवास-स्थान ही में एक निशानी थी - दाएँ और बाएँ दो बाग, "खाओ अपने रब की रोज़ी, और उस के प्रति आभार प्रकट करो। भूमि भी अच्छी-सी और रब भी क्षमाशील।"
