اے ایمان والو! تم پر مقتولوں کا قصاص لینا فرض کیا گیا ہے ، آزاد ، آزاد کے بدلے غلام غلام کے بدلے عورت عورت کے بدلے ہاں جس کسی کو اس کے بھائی کی طرف سے کچھ معافی دے دی جائے اسے بھلائی کی اتباع کرنی چاہیے اور آسانی کے ساتھ دیت ادا کرنی چاہیے تمہارے رب کی طرف سے یہ تخفیف اور رحمت ہے اس کے بعد بھی جو سرکشی کرے اسے دردناک عذاب ہوگا ۔

O you who have believed, prescribed for you is legal retribution for those murdered - the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoever overlooks from his brother anything, then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct. This is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. But whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.

تم میں سے جو بزرگی اور کشادگی والے ہیں انہیں اپنے قرابت داروں اور مسکینوں اور مہاجروں کو فی سبیل اللہ دینے سے قسم نہ کھالینی چاہیئے بلکہ معاف کردینا اور درگذر کرلینا چاہئیے ۔ کیا تم نہیں چاہتے کہ اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے قصور معاف فرما دے؟ اللہ قصوروں کو معاف فرمانے والا مہربان ہے ۔

And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah , and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

جو لوگ آسانی میں اور سختی کے موقع پر بھی اللہ کے راستے میں خرچ کرتے ہیں ، غصّہ پینے والے اور لوگوں سے درگُزر کرنے والے ہیں ، اللہ تعالیٰ ان نیک کاروں سے محبت کرتا ہے ۔

Who spend [in the cause of Allah ] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;

تم میں سے جو دو افراد ایسا کام کرلیں انہیں ایذا دو اگر وہ توبہ اور اصلاح کرلیں تو ان سے مُنہ پھیر لو ، بیشک اللہ تعالٰی توبہ قبول کرنے والا ہے اور رحم کرنے والا ہے ۔

And the two who commit it among you, dishonor them both. But if they repent and correct themselves, leave them alone. Indeed, Allah is ever Accepting of repentance and Merciful.

آسمانوں کی ( تمام ) چیزیں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب اسی کا ہے وہ برتر اور عظیم الشان ہے ۔

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.

اور ہم نے یہودیوں کے ذمہ تورات میں یہ بات مقرر کر دی تھی کہ جان کے بدلے جان اور آنکھ کے بدلے آنکھ اور ناک کے بدلے ناک اور کان کے بدلے کان اور دانت کے بدلے دانت اور خاص زخموں کا بھی بدلہ ہے پھر جو شخص اس کو معاف کر دے تو وہ اس کے لئے کفارہ ہے اور جو لوگ اللہ کے نازل کئے ہوئے کے مطابق حکم نہ کریں ، و ہی لوگ ظالم ہیں ۔

And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

اے ایمان والو! تمہاری بعض بیویاں اور بعض بچے تمہارے دشمن ہیں پس ان سے ہوشیار رہنا اور اگر تم معاف کردو اور درگزر کر جاؤ اور بخش دو تو اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

O you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

آپ درگز ر کواختیار کریں نیک کام کی تعلیم دیں اور جاہلوں سے ایک کنارہ ہوجائیں ۔

Take what is given freely, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.

پھر حرمت والے مہینوں کے گزرتے ہی مشرکوں کو جہاں پاؤ قتل کرو انہیں گرفتار کروان کا محاصرہ کرلو اور ان کی تاک میں ہر گھاٹی میں جابیٹھو ، ہاں اگر وہ توبہ کرلیں اور نماز کے پابند ہوجائیں اور زکوۃ ادا کرنے لگیں تو تم ان کی راہیں چھوڑ دو یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
