Neither those who disbelieve from the People of the Scripture nor the polytheists wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
Na to ehal-e-kitab kay kafir aur na mushrikeen chahatay hain kay tum per tumharay rab ki koi bhalaee nazil ho ( inn kay iss hasad say kiya hua ) Allah Taalaa jissay chahaye apni rehmat-e-khusoosiyat say ata farmaye Allah Taalaa baray fazal wala hai.
जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया ख़्वाह अहले-किताब हों या मुशरिकीन, वे नहीं चाहते कि तुम्हारे ऊपर तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से कोई भलाई उतारी जाए, और अल्लाह जिसको चाहता है अपनी रहमत के लिए ख़ास कर लेता है, अल्लाह बड़े फ़ज़्ल वाला है।
Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
Inn ehal-e-kitab kay aksay log ba wajood haq wazeh ho janey kay mehaz hasad-o-bughz ki bina per tumhen bhi eman say hata dena chahatay hain tum bhi moad kero aur choro yahan tak kay Allah Taalaa apna hukum laye. Yaqeenan Allah Taalaa her cheez per qudrat rakhta hai.
बहुत-से अहले-किताब दिल से चाहते हैं कि तुम्हारे मोमिन हो जाने के बाद वे किसी तरह फिर तुमको काफ़िर बना दें अपने हसद की वजह से बावजूद ये कि हक़ उनके सामने वाज़ेह हो चुका है, पस माफ़ करो और दरगुज़र करो यहाँ तक कि अल्लाह का फ़ैसला आ जाए, बेशक अल्लाह हर चीज़ पर क़ुदरत रखता है।
A faction of the people of the Scripture wish they could mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive [it] not.
Ehal-e-kitab ki aik jamat chahati hai kay tumhen gumrah ker den dar-asal woh khud apney aap ko gumrah ker rahey hain aur samajhtay nahi.
अहले-किताब में से एक गिरोह चाहता है कि किसी तरह तुमको गुमराह कर दे; हालाँकि वे नहीं गुमराह करते मगर ख़ुद अपने आपको, मगर वे इसका एहसास नहीं करते।
And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will abandon their religion,
Aur ehal-e-kitab ki aik jamat ney kaha kay jo kuch eman walon per utara gaya hai uss per din charhay to eman lao aur shaam kay waqt kafir bann jao takay yeh log bhi palat jayen.
और अहले-किताब के एक गिरोह ने कहा कि मुसलमानों पर जो चीज़ उतारी गई है उस पर सुबह-सवेरे ईमान ले आओ और शाम को उसका इनकार कर दो, शायद कि मुसलमान भी उससे फिर जाएं।
And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, "There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it].
Baaz ehal-e-kitab to aisay hain kay agar tu enhen khazaney ka amin bana dey to bhi woh tujhay wapis ker den aur inn mein say baaz aisay bhi hain kay agar tu enhen aik dinar bhi amanat dey to tujhay ada na keren. Haan yeh aur baat hai kay tu uss kay sir per hi khara rahey yeh iss liye kay enhon ney keh rakha hai kay hum per inn jahilon ( ghair yahudiyon ) kay haq ka koi gunah nahi yeh log ba wajood janney kay Allah Taalaa per jhoot kehtay hain.
और अहले-किताब में कोई ऐसा भी है कि अगर तुम उसके पास अमानत का ढेर रखो तो वह उसको तुम्हें अदा कर दे, और उनमें कोई ऐसा है कि अगर तुम उसके पास एक दीनार अमानत रख दो तो वह तुमको अदा न करे, मगर यह कि तुम उसके सर पर खड़े हो जाओ, यह इस सबब से कि वह कहते हैं कि ग़ैर अहले-किताब के बारे में हम पर कोई इल्ज़ाम नहीं, और वह अल्लाह के ऊपर झूठ लगाते हैं; हालाँकि वे जानते हैं।
They are not [all] the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer].
Yeh saray kay saray yaksan nahi bulkay inn ehal-e-kitab mein aik jamat ( haq per ) qaeem rehney wali bhi hai jo raaton kay waqt bhi kalam ullah ki tilawat kertay hain aur sajday bhi kertay hain.
सब अहले-किताब एक जैसे नहीं, उनमें एक गिरोह अहद पर क़ायम है, वे रातों को अल्लाह की आयतें पढ़ते हैं और सज्दा करते हैं।
And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allah . They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
Yaqeenan ehal-e-kitab mein say baaz aisay bhi hain jo Allah Taalaa per eman latay hain aur tumhari taraf jo utaata gaya hai aur unn ki janib jo nazil hua uss per bhi Allah Taalaa say dartay hain aur Allah Taalaa ki aayaton ko thori thori qeemat per baichtay bhi nahi inn ka badla inn kay rab kay pass hai yaqeenan Allah Taalaa jald hisab lenay wala hai.
और अहले किताब में कुछ ऐसे भी हैं जो अल्लाह पर ईमान रखते हैं और उस किताब को मानते हैं जो तुम्हारी तरफ़ भेजी गई और उस किताब को भी जो ख़ुद उनकी तरफ़ भेजी गई थी, वे अल्लाह के आगे झुके हुए हैं, और वे अल्लाह की आयतों को थोड़ी क़ीमत पर बेच नहीं देते, यही वे लोग हैं कि उनका अज्र उनके रब के पास है, और बेशक अल्लाह जल्द हिसाब लेने वाला है।
Paradise is not [obtained] by your wishful thinking nor by that of the People of the Scripture. Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah a protector or a helper.
Haqeeqat-e-haal na to tumhari aarzoo kay mutabiq hai aur na ehal-e-kitab ki umeedon per moqoof hai jo bura keray ga uss ki saza paye ga aur kissi ko na paye ga jo uss ki himayat-o-madad Allah kay pass ker sakay.
न तुम्हारी आर्ज़ुओं पर है और न अहले-किताब की आर्ज़ुओं पर, जो कोई भी बुरा करेगा उसका बदला पाएगा, और वह न पाएगा अल्लाह के सिवा अपना कोई हिमायती और न मददगार।
And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become accustomed to hypocrisy. You, [O Muhammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment.
Aur kuch tumharay gird-o-paish walon mein aur kuch madinay walon mein aisay munafiq hain kay nifaq per aray huye hain aap inn ko nahi jantay inn ko hum jantay hain hum inn ko dohri saza den gay phir woh baray bhari azab ki taraf bhejay jayen gay.
और तुम्हारे आस-पास जो देहाती हैं उनमें मुनाफ़िक़ हैं, और मदीना वालों में भी (मुनाफ़िक़ हैं), वे निफ़ाक़ पर जम गए हैं, तुम उनको नहीं जानते लेकिन हम उनको जानते हैं, हम उनको दोहरा अज़ाब देंगे फिर वे एक बड़े अज़ाब की तरफ़ भेजे जाएंगे।
