In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
Apney buhat hi buland Allah kay nam ki pakizgi biyan ker
तसबीह करो, अपने सर्वाच्च रब के नाम की,
Who created and proportioned
Jissney paida kiya aur sahi salim banaya
जिस ने पैदा किया, फिर ठीक-ठाक किया,
And Who destined and [then] guided
Aur jiss na ( thek thak ) andaza kiya aur phir rah dekhai
जिस ने निर्धारित किया, फिर मार्ग दिखाया,
And who brings out the pasture
Aur jis nay taza ghass paida ki
जिस ने वनस्पति उगाई,
And [then] makes it black stubble.
Phir ussney is ko ( sukha ker ) siyah kora ker diya
फिर उसे ख़ूब घना और हरा-भरा कर दिया
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,
Hum tujhy parhaein gay phir to na bhooly ga
हम तुम्हें पढ़ा देंगे, फिर तुम भूलोगे नहीं
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
Magar jo kuch Allah chahey wo zahir aur poshida ko janta hay
बात यह है कि अल्लाह की इच्छा ही क्रियान्वित है। निश्चय ही वह जानता है खुले को भी और उसे भी जो छिपा रहे
And We will ease you toward ease.
Hum apky liey asani paida kerdein gay
हम तुम्हें सहज ढंग से उस चीज़ की पात्र बना देंगे जो सहज एवं मृदुल (आरामदायक) है
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
To ap nasehat kerty rahein ager nasehat kuch faida dy
अतः नसीहत करो, यदि नसीहत लाभप्रद हो!
He who fears [ Allah ] will be reminded.
Derney wala to nasehat lyga
नसीहत हासिल कर लेगा जिस को डर होगा,
But the wretched one will avoid it -
( han ) badbakht is say gurez karey ga
किन्तु उस से कतराएगा वह अत्यन्त दुर्भाग्य वाला,
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
Jo bari aag mein jaey ga
जो बड़ी आग में पड़ेगा,
Neither dying therein nor living.
Jahan phir won a mary ga jnajeiy ga ( balky halat e nazah mein para rahy ga )
फिर वह उस में न मरेगा न जिएगा
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
Besahk usney falah pali jo pak hogaya
सफल हो गया वह जिस ने अपने आप को निखार लिया,
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
Aur jis nay apney rab ka nam yad rakha aur namaz parhta raha
और अपने रब के नाम का स्मरण किया, अतः नमाज़ अदा की
But you prefer the worldly life,
Lakin tum to duniya ki zindagi ko tarjeeh dyty ho
नहीं, बल्कि तुम तो सांसारिक जीवन को प्राथमिकता देते हो,
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
Aur akhrat buhat bhyter aur baqa wali hay
हालाँकि आख़िरत अधिक उत्तम और शेष रहने वाली है
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
Yeh batein phyli kitabon mein bhi hein
निस्संदेह यही बात पहले की किताबों में भी है;
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
