We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?
Jiss aayat ko hum mansookh ker den ya bhula den iss say behtar ya iss jaisi aur latay hain kiya tu nahi janta kay Allah Taalaa her cheez per qadir hai.
हम जब भी कोई आयत मंसूख़ करते हैं या उसे भुला देते हैं तो उससे बेहतर या उस जैसी (आयत) ले आते हैं, क्या तुम्हें मालूम नहीं कि अल्लाह हर चीज़ पर क़ुदरत रखता है?
And if you brought to those who were given the Scripture every sign, they would not follow your qiblah. Nor will you be a follower of their qiblah. Nor would they be followers of one another's qiblah. So if you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, indeed, you would then be among the wrongdoers.
Aur aap agar cheh ehal-e-kitab ko tamam daleelen dey den lekin woh aap kay qiblay ki pairwi nahi keren gay aur na aap inn kay qiblay ko manney walay hain aur na yeh aapas mein aik doosray kay qiblay ko manney walay hain aur agar aap ba wajood yeh kay aap kay pass ilm aa chuka phir bhi inn ki khuwaishon kay peechay lag jayen to bil yaqeen aap bhi zalimon mein say hojayen.
और अगर तुम उन अहले-किताब के सामने तमाम दलीलें पेश कर दो, तब भी वे तुम्हारे क़िबले को न मानेंगे, और न तुम उनके क़िबले की पैरवी कर सकते हो, और न वे ख़ुद एक-दूसरे के क़िबले को मानते हैं, और इस इल्म के बाद जो तुम्हारे पास आ चुका है अगर तुम उनकी ख़्वाहिशों की पैरवी करोगे तो यक़ीनन ज़ालिमों में से हो जाओगे।
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom.
Aur inn kay pass koi nishani bhi unn kay rab ki nishaniyon mein say nahi aati magar woh iss say aeyraaz hi kertay hain.
और उनके रब की निशानियों में से जो भी निशानी उनके पास आती है तो वे उस से मुँह मोड़ लेते हैं।
And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples."
Aur inn mein baaz aisay hain kay aap ki taraf kaan lagatay hain aur hum ney inn kay dilon per parda daal rakha hai iss say kay woh iss ko samjhen aur inn kay kanon mein daat dey rakhi hai aur agar woh log tamam dalaeel ko dekh len to bhi inn per kabhi eman na layen yahan tak kay jab yeh log aap kay pass aatay hain to aap say khuwa ma-khuwa jhagartay hain yeh log jo kafir hain yun kehtay hain kay yeh to kuch bhi nahi sirf bey sanad baaten hain jo pehlon say chali aarahi hain.
और उनमें से बअज़ लोग ऐसे हैं जो आपकी तरफ़ कान लगाते है; हालाँकि हमने उनके दिलों पर पर्दा डाल दिए हैं कि वे उसको न समझें और उनके कानों में बोझ है, अगर वे तमाम निशानियाँ भी देख लें तब भी उन पर ईमान न लाएंगे, यहाँ तक कि जब वे आपके पास आपसे झगड़ने आते हैं तो वे मुनकिर कहते हैं कि ये तो बस पहले लोगों की कहानियाँ हैं।
And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us, we will not be believers in you."
Aur yun kehtay kaisi hi baat humaray samney lao kay inn kay zariye say hum per jadoo chalao jab bhi hum tumhari baat hergiz na maanen gay.
और वे (मूसा से) कहते थे कि तुम हम पर अपना जादू चलाने के लिए कैसी भी निशानी लेकर आ जाओ हम तुम पर ईमान लाने वाले नहीं हैं।
I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right; and if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. And if they see the way of consciousness, they will not adopt it as a way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as a way. That is because they have denied Our signs and they were heedless of them.
Mein aisay logon ko apney ehkaam say bar-gashta hi rakhon ga jo duniya mein takabbur kertay hain jiss ka unn ko koi haq hasil nahi aur agar tamam nishaniyan dekh len tab bhi woh inn per eman na layen aur agar hidayat ka raasta dekhen to iss ko apna tareeqa na banayen aur agar gumrahi ka raasta dekh len to iss ko apna tareeq bana len. Yeh iss sabab say hai kay enhon ney humari aayaton ko jhutlaya aur inn say ghafil rahey.
मैं अपनी निशानियों से उन लोगों को फेर दूँगा जो ज़मीन में नाहक़ घमंड करते हैं, और अगर वे हर क़िस्म की निशानियाँ देख लें तब भी उन पर ईमान न लाएं, और अगर वे हिदायत का रास्ता देखें तो उसको न अपनाएंगे, और अगर गुमराही का रास्ता देखें तो उसको अपना लेंगे, यह इस वजह से है कि उन्होंने हमारी निशानियों को झुठलाया और वे उनकी तरफ़ से ग़ाफ़िल रहे।
Even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment.
Go inn kay pass tamam nishaniyan phonch jayen jab tak kay woh dard naak azab ko na dekh len.
चाहे उनके पास सारी निशानियाँ आ जाएं जब तक कि वे दर्दनाक अज़ाब को सामने आता न देख लें।
And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they, therefrom, are turning away.
Aasmanon aur zamin mein bhot si nishaniyan hain. Jin say yeh mun moray guzr rahey jatay hain.
और आसमानों और ज़मीन में कितनी ही निशानियाँ हैं जिन पर से उनका गुज़र होता रहता है और वे उन पर ध्यान नहीं करते।
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.
Aur jab hum kissi aayat ki jagah doosri aayat badal detay hain aur jo kuch Allah Taalaa nazil farmata hai ussay woh khoob janta hai to yeh kehtay hain kay tu to bohtan baaz hai. Baat yeh hai kay inn mein say aksar jantay hi nahi.
और जब हम एक आयत की जगह दूसरी आयत बदलते हैं, और अल्लाह ख़ूब जानता है जो कुछ वह उतारता है, तो वे कहते हैं कि तुम घड़ लाए हो, बल्कि उनमें अकसर लोग इल्म नहीं रखते।
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
Aur inn kay pass to inn kay rab ki nishaniyon mein say koi nishani aisi nahi aati jiss say yeh bey rukhi na barattay hon.
उन के पास उन के रब की आयतों में से जो आयत भी आती है, वे उस से कतराते ही हैं
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
Aur hum unhen jo nishaniyan dikhatay thay woh doosray say barhi chahrhi hoti thi aur hum ney unhen azab mein pakra takay woh baaz aajayen.
और हम उन्हें जो निशानी भी दिखाते वह अपने प्रकार की पहली निशानी से बढ़-चढ़कर होती और हम ने उन्हें यातना से ग्रस्त कर लिया, ताकि वे रुजू करें
