In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
By the sky and the night comer -
Qasam hay asman ki aur andhery mein roshan honay waly ki
साक्षी है आकाश, और रात में प्रकट होने वाला -
And what can make you know what is the night comer?
Tujhy maloom bhi hay ky wo raat ko namodar honey wali chez kiya hay?
और तुम क्या जानो कि रात में प्रकट होने वाला क्या है?
It is the piercing star -
Wo roshan sitara hay
दमकता हुआ तारा! -
There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.
Koi asa nahi jis per nigheban farishta na ho
कि हर एक व्यक्ति पर एक निगरानी करने वाला नियुक्त है
So let man observe from what he was created.
Insan ko dekhna chaeiy kay kis chez say paida kiya gaya hay
अतः मनुष्य को चाहिए कि देखे कि वह किस चीज़ से पैदा किया गया है
He was created from a fluid, ejected,
Wo ik uchalty pani say paida kiya hay
एक उछलते पानी से पैदा किया गया है,
Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.
Jo pait aur seney kay dirmiyan say nikalta hay
जो पीठ और पसलियों के मध्य से निकलता है
Indeed, Allah , to return him [to life], is Able.
Be sahk wo usy pher lyney per yaqeenan qudrat rakhney wala hay
निश्चय ही वह उस के लौटा देने की सामर्थ्य रखता है
The Day when secrets will be put on trial,
Jis din poshida bhedon ki janch partal hogi
जिस दिन छिपी चीज़ें परखी जाएँगी,
Then man will have no power or any helper.
To na hoga uskay pass kuch zor na madadgar
तो उस समय उस के पास न तो अपनी कोई शक्ति होगी और न कोई सहायक
By the sky which returns [rain]
Barish waly asman ki qasam!
साक्षी है आवर्तन (उलट-फेर) वाला आकाश,
And [by] the earth which cracks open,
Aur pahtney wali zameen ki qasam!
और फट जाने वाली धरती
Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,
Be-shak yeh ( quran ) albatta do tok faisla kerney wala kalam hai
वह दो-टूक बात है,
And it is not amusement.
Yeh hansi ki ( aur be faeeda ) baat nahi
वह कोई हँसी-मज़ाक नही है
Indeed, they are planning a plan,
Albatta kafir dao ghaat main nahi
वे एक चाल चल रहे हैं,
But I am planning a plan.
Aur mein bhi aik chaal chalraha hun
और मैं भी एक चाल चल रहा हूँ
So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
Tu kafiron ko mohlat dey unhen thory dino chor dy
अत मुहलत दे दो उन इनकार करने वालों को; मुहलत दे दो उन्हें थोड़ी-सी
