الفاظ ( الْبَرِّ )

تمہارے لئے دریا کا شکار پکڑنا اور اس کا کھانا حلال کیا گیا ہے تمہارے فائدے کے واسطے اور مسافروں کے واسطے اور خشکی کا شکار پکڑنا تمہارے لئے حرام کیا گیا ہے جب تک تم حالت احرام میں رہو اور اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈرو جس کے پاس جمع کئے جاؤ گے ۔

Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is game from the land as long as you are in the state of ihram. And fear Allah to whom you will be gathered.

اور اللہ تعالٰی ہی کے پاس ہیں غیب کی کنجیاں ( خزانے ) ان کو کوئی نہیں جانتا بجز اللہ تعالٰی کے اور وہ تمام چیزوں کو جانتا ہے جو کچھ خشکی میں ہے اور جو کچھ دریاؤں میں ہے اور کوئی پتا نہیں گرتا مگر وہ اس کو بھی جانتا ہے اور کوئی دانا زمین کے تاریک حصوں میں نہیں پڑتا اور نہ کوئی تر اور نہ کوئی خشک چیز گرتی ہے مگر یہ سب کتاب مبین میں ہیں ۔

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.

آپ کہئے کہ وہ کون ہے جو تم کو خشکی اور دریا کی ظلمات سے نجات دیتا ہے ۔ تم اس کو پکارتے ہو تو گڑگڑا کر اور چپکے چپکے کہ اگر تو ہم کو ان سے نجات دے دے تو ہم ضرور شکر کرنے والوں میں سے ہوجائیں گے ۔

Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.' "

اور وہ ایسا ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے ستاروں کو پیدا کیا تاکہ تم ان کے ذریعہ سے اندھیروں میں خشکی میں اور دریا میں راستہ معلوم کر سکو بیشک ہم نے دلائل خوب کھول کھول کر بیان کر دیئے ان لوگوں کے لئے جو خبر رکھتے ہیں ۔

And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know.

وہ اللہ ایسا ہے کہ تم کو خشکی اور دریا میں چلاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتی میں ہوتے ہو اور وہ کشتیاں لوگوں کو موافق ہوا کے ذریعے سے لے کر چلتی ہیں اور وہ لوگ ان سے خوش ہوتے ہیں ان پر ایک جھونکا سخت ہوا کا آتا ہے اور ہر طرف سے ان پر موجیں اٹھتی چلی آتی ہیں اور وہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ( برے ) آگھرے ( اس وقت ) سب خالص اعتقاد کرکے اللہ ہی کو پکارتے ہیں کہ اگر تو ہم کو اس سے بچا لے تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار بن جائیں گے ۔

It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from everywhere and they assume that they are surrounded, supplicating Allah , sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful."

اور سمندروں میں مصیبت پہنچتے ہی جنہیں تم پکارتے تھے سب گم ہو جاتے ہیں صرف وہی اللہ باقی رہ جاتا ہے پھر جب وہ تمہیں خشکی کی طرف بچا لاتا ہے تو تم منہ پھیر لیتے ہو اور انسان بڑا ہی ناشکرا ہے ۔

And when adversity touches you at sea, lost are [all] those you invoke except for Him. But when He delivers you to the land, you turn away [from Him]. And ever is man ungrateful.

تو کیا تم اس سے بے خوف ہوگئے ہو کہ تمہیں خشکی کی طرف ( لے جا کر زمین ) میں دھنسا دے یا تم پر پتھروں کی آندھی بھیج دے پھر تم اپنے لئے کسی نگہبان کو نہ پا سکو ۔

Then do you feel secure that [instead] He will not cause a part of the land to swallow you or send against you a storm of stones? Then you would not find for yourselves an advocate.

یقیناً ہم نے اولاد آدم کو بڑی عزت دی اور انہیں خشکی اور تری کی سواریاں دیں اور انہیں پاکیزہ چیزوں کی روزیاں دیں اور اپنی بہت سی مخلوق پر انہیں فضیلت عطا فرمائی ۔

And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.

کیا وہ جو تمہیں خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں راہ دکھاتا ہے اور جو اپنی رحمت سے پہلے ہی خوشخبریاں دینے والی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود بھی ہے جنہیں یہ شریک کرتے ہیں ان سب سے اللہ بلند و بالا تر ہے ۔

Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah ? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

پس یہ لوگ جب کشتیوں میں سوار ہوتے ہیں تو اللہ تعالٰی ہی کو پکارتے ہیں اس کے لئے عبادت کو خالص کرکے پھر جب وہ انہیں خشکی کی طرف بچا لاتا ہے تو اسی وقت شرک کرنے لگتے ہیں ۔

And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah , sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him

خشکی اور تری میں لوگوں کی بد اعمالیوں کے باعث فساد پھیل گیا ۔ اس لئے کہ انہیں ان کے بعض کرتوتوں کا پھل اللہ تعالٰی چکھا دے ( بہت ) ممکن ہے کہ وہ باز آجائیں ۔

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].

اور جب ان پر موجیں سائبانوں کی طرح چھا جاتی ہیں تو وہ ( نہایت ) خلوص کے ساتھ اعتقاد کر کے اللہ تعالٰی ہی کو پکارتے ہیں پھر جب وہ ( باری تعالیٰ ) انہیں نجات دے کر خشکی کی طرف پہنچاتا ہے تو کچھ ان میں سے اعتدال پر رہتے ہیں اور ہماری آیتوں کا انکار صرف وہی کرتے ہیں جو بدعہد اور ناشکرے ہوں ۔

And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allah , sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, there are [some] of them who are moderate [in faith]. And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
