الفاظ ( وَاذْكُرْ )

کہنے لگے پروردگار !میرے لئے اس کی کوئی نشانی مقّرر کر دے فرمایا نشانی یہ ہے تین دن تک تو لوگوں سے بات نہ کر سکے گا ، صرف اشارے سے سمجھائے گا ، تو اپنے رب کا ذکر کثرت سے کر اور صبح شام اسی کی تسبیح بیان کرتا رہ !

He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He Said, "Your sign is that you will not [be able to] speak to the people for three days except by gesture. And remember your Lord much and exalt [Him with praise] in the evening and the morning."

اور اے شخص! اپنے رب کی یاد کیا کر اپنے دل میں عاجزی کے ساتھ اور خوف کے ساتھ اور زور کی آواز کی نسبت کم آوازکے ساتھ صبح اور شام اور اہل غفلت میں سے مت ہونا ۔

And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and in fear without being apparent in speech - in the mornings and the evenings. And do not be among the heedless.

مگر ساتھ ہی انشا اللہ کہہ لینا اور جب بھی بھولے ، اپنے پروردگار کی یاد کر لیا کر نا اور کہتے رہنا کہ مجھے پوری امید ہے کہ میرا رب مجھے اس سے بھی زیادہ ہدایت کے قریب کی بات کی رہبری کرے ۔

Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct."

اس کتاب میں مریم کا بھی واقعہ بیان کر ۔ جبکہ وہ اپنے گھر کے لوگوں سے علیحدہ ہو کر مشرقی جانب آئیں ۔

And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.

اس کتاب میں ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) کا قصہ بیان کر بیشک وہ بڑی سچائی والے پیغمبر تھے ۔

And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.

اس قرآن میں موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کا ذکر بھی کر جو چنا ہوا اور رسول اور نبی تھا ۔

And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was chosen, and he was a messenger and a prophet.

اس کتاب میں اسماعیل ( علیہ السلام ) کا واقعہ بھی بیان کر ، وہ بڑا ہی وعدے کا سچا تھا اور تھا بھی رسول اور نبی ۔

And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to his promise, and he was a messenger and a prophet.

اور اس کتاب میں ادریس ( علیہ السلام ) کا بھی ذکر کر ، وہ بھی نیک کردار پیغمبر تھا ۔

And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.

آپ ان کی باتوں پر صبر کریں اور ہمارے بندے داؤد ( علیہ السلام ) کو یاد کریں جو بڑی قوت والا تھا یقیناً وہ بہت رجوع کرنے والا تھا ۔

Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah ].

اور ہمارے بندے ایوب ( علیہ السلام ) کا ( بھی ) ذکر کر ، جبکہ اس نے اپنے رب کو پکارا کہ مجھے شیطان نے رنج اور دکھ پہنچایا ہے ۔

And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment."

ہمارے بندوں ابراہیم ، اسحاق اور یعقوب ( علیہم السلام ) کا بھی لوگوں سے ذکر کرو جو ہاتھوں اور آنکھوں والے تھے ۔

And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision.

اسماعیل ، یسع اور ذوالکفل ( علیہم السلام ) کا بھی ذکر کر دیجئے ، یہ سب بہترین لوگ تھے ۔

And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding.

اور عاد کے بھائی کو یاد کرو ، جبکہ اس نے اپنی قوم کو احقاف میں ڈرایا اور یقیناً اس سے پہلے بھی ڈرانے والے گزر چکے ہیں اور اس کے بعد بھی یہ کہ تم سوائے اللہ تعالٰی کے اور کی عبادت نہ کرو بیشک میں تم پر بڑے دن کے عذاب سے خوف کھاتا ہوں ۔

And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah . Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
