And recite to them the news of Abraham,
Enhen ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) ka waqiya bhi suna do.
और उन्हें इबराहीम का वृत्तान्त सुनाओ,
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
Jabkay unhon ney apnay baap aur pani qom say farmaya kay tum kiss ki ibadat kertay ho?
जबकि उस ने अपने बाप और अपनी क़ौंम के लोगों से कहा, "तुम क्या पूजते हो?"
They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
Unhon ney jawab diya kay ibadat kertay hain buton ki hum to barbar inn kay mujawar bann bethay hain.
उन्होंने कहा, "हम बुतों की पूजा करते हैं, हम तो उन्हीं की सेवा में लगे रहेंगे।"
He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?
Aap ney farmaya jab tum enhen pukartay ho to kiya woh suntay bhi hain?
उस ने कहा, "क्या ये तुम्हारी सुनते हैं, जब तुम पुकारते हो,
Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"
Ya tumhen nafa nuksan bhi phoncha saktay hain.
या ये तुम्हें कुछ लाभ या हानि पहुँचाते हैं?"
They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."
Unhon ney kaha yeh ( hum kuch nahi jantay ) hum ney to apnay baap dadon ko issi tarah kertay paya.
उन्होंने कहा, "नहीं, बल्कि हम ने तो अपने बाप-दादा को ऐसा ही करते पाया है।"
He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,
Aap ney farmaya kuch khabar bhi hai jinhen tum pooj rahey ho?
उस ने कहा, "क्या तुम ने उन पर विचार भी किया कि जिन्हें तुम पूजते हो,
You and your ancient forefathers?
Tum aur tumharay aglay baap dada woh sab meray dushman hain.
तुम और तुम्हारे पहले के बाप-दादा?
Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,
Ba-juz sachay Allah Taalaa kay jo tamam jahaan ka palanhaar hai.
वे सब तो मेरे शत्रु हैं, सिवाय सारे संसार के रब के,
Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.
Jiss ney mujhay peda kiya hai aur wohi meri rehbari farmata hai.
जिस ने मुझे पैदा किया और फिर वही मेरा मार्गदर्शन करता है
And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.
Wohi hai jo mujhay khilata pilata hai.
और वही है जो मुझे खिलाता और पिलाता है
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me
Aur jab mein beemar par jaon to mujhay shifa ata farmata hai.
और जब मैं बीमार होता हूँ, तो वही मुझे अच्छा करता है
And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life
Aur wohi mujhay maar dalay ga phir zinda ker dey ga.
और वही है जो मुझे मारेगा, फिर मुझे जीवित करेगा
And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."
Aur jiss say umeed bandhi hui hai kay woh roz-e-jaza mein meray gunahon ko bakhsh dey ga.
और वही है जिस से मुझे इस की आकांक्षा है कि बदला दिए जाने के दिन वह मेरी ख़ता माफ़ कर देगा
[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.
Aey meray rab! Mujhay qooat-e-faisla ata farma aur mujhay nek logon mein mila dey.
ऐ मेरे रब! मुझे निर्णय-शक्ति प्रदान कर और मुझे योग्य लोगों के साथ मिला।
And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.
Aur mera ziker-e-khair pichlay logon mein bhi baqi rakh.
और बाद के आने वालों में से मुझे सच्ची ख़्याति प्रदान कर
And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.
Mujhay nematon wali jannat kay warison mein say bana dey.
और मुझे नेमत भरी जन्नत के वारिसों में सम्मिलित कर
