When the sky breaks apart
jab asman phat jaey ga
जबकि आकाश फट जाएगा
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
kay jab logon say nap kerlyty hein to pora pora lyty hein
जो नापकर लोगों पर नज़र जमाए हुए लेते हैं तो पूरा-पूरा लेते हैं,
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
Jab iskay samnay hamari ayatein parhi jati hein to keh dyta hay kay yeh aglon kay afsaney hein
जब हमारी आयतें उसे सुनाई जाती हैं तो कहता है, "ये तो पहले की कहानियाँ हैं।"
When the sky has split [open]
Jab asman phat jaey ga
जबकि आकाश फट जाएगा,
And [by] the moon when it becomes full
Aur chand ki jab kay wo kamil hojata hay
और चन्द्रमा की जबकि वह पूर्ण हो जाता है,
And [by] the night when it passes,
Aur raat ki jab wo chalney lagy
साक्षी है रात जब वह विदा हो रही हो
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."
Insan ( ka yeh hal hay kay ) jab ussy us ka rab azmata hay aur izat o neymat dyta hay to wo khyney lagta hay kay mery rab nay mujhy izat dar banadiya
किन्तु मनुष्य का हाल यह है कि जब उस का रब इस प्रकार उस की परीक्षा करता है कि उसे प्रतिष्ठा और नेमत प्रदान करता है, तो वह कहता है, "मेरे रब ने मुझे प्रतिष्ठित किया।"
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."
aur jab wo usko azmata hay aur uski rozi tang kerdyta hay to wo kehney lagta hay kay mera rab nay meri ahanat ki hy ( aur zalil kiya )
किन्तु जब कभी वह उस की परीक्षा इस प्रकार करता है कि उस की रोज़ी नपी-तुली कर देता है, तो वह कहता है, "मेरे रब ने मेरा अपमान किया।"
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -
Yaqeenan jis waqat zameen koot koot ker baraber kerdi jaey gi
कुछ नहीं, जब धरती कूट-कूट कर चुर्ण-विचुर्ण कर दी जाएगी,
And [by] the moon when it follows it
Qasam hai chand ki jab uskay peechay ay
और चन्द्रमा जबकि वह उस के पीछे आए,
And [by] the day when it displays it
Qasam hai din ki jab soraj ko numaya keray
और दिन, जबकि वह उसे प्रकट कर दे,
And [by] the night when it covers it
Qasam hai raat ki jab ussay dhanp lay
और रात, जबकि वह उसको ढाँक ले
By the night when it covers
Qasam hai raat ki jab cha jaey
साक्षी है रात जबकि वह छा जाए,
And [by] the day when it appears
Aur qasam hai din ki jab roshan ho
और दिन जबकि वह प्रकाशमान हो,
And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?
Uska maal ussy ( ondha ) giraney kay waqat kuch kam na ay ga
और उस का माल उस के कुछ काम न आएगा, जब वह (सिर के बल) खड्ड में गिरेगा
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,
Aur qasam hai raat ki jab cha jaey
और रात जबकि उस का सन्नाटा छा जाए
A servant when he prays?
Jabkay who banda salat ada kerta hai
जो एक बन्दे को रोकता है, जब वह नमाज़ अदा करता है? -
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
Jabb zameen pori tarah jhanjor di jaeygi
जब धरती इस प्रकार हिला डाली जाएगी जैसा उसे हिलाया जाना है,
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
Kiya issay who waqat maloom nahi jabb qabron mein jo kuch hy nikal liya jaey ga.
तो क्या वह जानता नहीं जब उगलवा लिया जाएगा जो क़ब्रों में है
When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,
Jab Allah ji madad aur fatah ajaye
जब अल्लाह की सहायता आ जाए और विजय प्राप्त हो,
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
Aur andheri raat ki tareki kay shar say jab uska andhera phel jaye.
और अँधेरे की बुराई से जबकि वह घुस आए,
And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
Aur hasad kerney waly ki burai say bhi jab wo hasad karey.
और ईर्ष्यालु की बुराई से, जब वह ईर्ष्या करे।"
