تو آپ سمجھاتے رہیں کیونکہ آپ اپنے رب کے فضل سے نہ تو کاہن ہیں نہ دیوانہ ۔

So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman.

کیا کافر یوں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ شاعر ہے ہم اس پر زمانے کے حوادث ( یعنی موت ) کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں ۔

Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?"

کہہ دیجئے! تم منتظر رہو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار کرنے والوں میں ہوں ۔

Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."

کیا ان کی عقلیں انہیں یہی سکھاتی ہیں؟ یا یہ لوگ ہی سرکش ہیں ۔

Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?

کیا یہ کہتے ہیں اس نبی نے ( قرآن ) خود گھڑ لیا ہے ، واقع یہ ہے کہ وہ ایمان نہیں لاتے ۔

Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe.

اچھا اگر یہ سچے ہیں تو بھلا اس جیسی ایک ( ہی ) بات یہ ( بھی ) تو لے آئیں ۔

Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful.

کیا یہ بغیر کسی ( پیدا کرنے والے ) کے خود بخود پیدا ہوگئے ہیں؟ یا یہ خود پیدا کرنے والے ہیں ۔

Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]?

کیا انہوں نے ہی آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے ، بلکہ یہ یقین نہ کرنے والے لوگ ہیں ۔

Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.

یا کیا ان کے پاس تیرے رب کے خزانے ہیں؟ یا ( ان خزانوں کے ) یہ دروغہ ہیں ۔

Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?

یا کیا ان کے پاس کوئی سیڑھی ہے جس پر چڑھ کر سنتے ہیں؟ ( اگر ایسا ہے ) تو ان کا سننے والا کوئی روشن دلیل پیش کرے ۔

Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.

کیا اللہ کی تو سب لڑکیاں ہیں اور تمہارے ہاں لڑکے ہیں؟

Or has He daughters while you have sons?

کیا تو ان سے کوئی اجرت طلب کرتا ہے کہ یہ اس کے تاوان سے بو جھل ہو رہے ہیں ۔

Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

کیا ان کے پاس علم غیب ہے جسے یہ لکھ لیتے ہیں؟

Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?

کیا یہ لوگ کوئی فریب کرنا چاہتے ہیں؟ تو یقین کرلیں کہ فریب خوردہ کافر ہی ہیں ۔

Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.

کیا اللہ کے سوا ان کا کوئی معبود ہے؟ ( ہرگز نہیں ) اللہ تعالٰی ان کے شرک سے پاک ہے ۔

Or have they a deity other than Allah ? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

اگر یہ لوگ آسمان کے کسی ٹکڑے کو گرتا ہوا دیکھ لیں تب بھی کہہ دیں کہ تہ بہ تہ بادل ہے ۔

And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."

تو انہیں چھوڑ دے یہاں تک کہ انہیں اس دن سے سابقہ پڑے جس میں یہ بے ہوش کر دیئے جائیں گے ۔

So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible -

جس دن انہیں ان کا مکر کچھ کام نہ دے گا اور نہ وہ مدد کئے جائیں گے ۔

The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.

بیشک ظالموں کے لئے اس کے علاوہ اور عذاب بھی ہیں لیکن ان لوگوں میں سے اکثر بے علم ہیں ۔

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.
