ہم نے اسی طرح تمہیں عادل امت بنایا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوں پر گواہ ہو جاؤ اور رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) تم پر گواہ ہو جائیں ، جس قبلہ پر تم پہلے تھے اسے ہم نے صرف اس لئے مقرر کیا تھا کہ ہم جان لیں کہ رسول کا سچا تابعدار کون ہے اور کون ہے جو اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل پلٹ جاتا ہے گو یہ کام مشکل ہے ، مگر جنہیں اللہ نے ہدایت دی ہے ( ان پر کوئی مشکل نہیں ) اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے ایمان ضائع نہیں کرے گا اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں کے ساتھ شفقت اور مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.

اس لئے تم میرا ذکر کرو میں بھی تمہیں یاد کروں گا ، میری شکر گزاری کرو اور ناشکری سے بچو ۔

So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.

جو لوگ اپنا مال اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کی مثال اس دانے جیسی ہے جس میں سے سات بالیاں نکلیں اور ہر بالی میں سو دانے ہوں اور اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے بڑھا چڑھا کر دے اور اللہ تعالٰی کشادگی والا اور علم والا ہے ۔

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

اور اگر تمہیں اللہ تعالٰی کا کوئی فضل مل جائے تو اس طرح کہ گویا تم میں ان میں دوستی تھی ہی نہیں ، کہتے ہیں کاش! میں بھی ان کے ہمراہ ہوتا تو بڑی کامیابی کو پہنچتا ۔

But if bounty comes to you from Allah , he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment."

اللہ تعالٰی تمہیں سزا دے کر کیا کرے گا؟ اگر تم شکر گزاری کرتے رہو اور با ایمان رہو ، اللہ تعالٰی بہت قدر کرنے والا اور پورا علم رکھنے والا ہے ۔

What would Allah do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe? And ever is Allah Appreciative and Knowing.

جو شخص نیک کام کرے گا اس کو اس کے دس گنا ملیں گے اور جو شخص برا کام کرے گا اس کو اس کے برابر ہی سزا ملے گی اور ان لوگوں پر ظلم نہ ہو گا ۔

Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.

جن لوگوں نے نیکی کی ہے ان کے واسطے خوبی ہے اور مزید برآں بھی اور ان کے چہروں پر نہ سیاہی چھائے گی اور نہ ذلت ، یہ لوگ جنت میں رہنے والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally

اور جن لوگوں نے بد کام کئے ان کی بدی کی سزا اس کے برابر ملے گی اور ان کو ذلت چھائے گی ان کو اللہ تعالٰی سے کوئی نہ بچا سکے گا گویا ان کے چہروں پر اندھیری رات کے پرت کے پرت لپیٹ دیئے گئے ۔ ہیں یہ لوگ دوزخ میں رہنے والے ہیں ، اور وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

جو شخص نیک عمل کرے مرد ہو یا عورت ، لیکن با ایمان ہو تو ہم اُسے یقیناً نہایت بہتر زندگی عطا فرمائیں گے اور ان کے نیک اعمال کا بہتر بدلہ بھی انہیں ضرور ضرور دیں گے ۔

Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.

پھر جو بھی نیک عمل کرے اور وہ مومن ( بھی ) ہو تو اسکی کوشش کی بے قدری نہیں کی جائیگی ہم تو اس کے لکھنے والے ہیں ۔

So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer - no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We, of it, are recorders.

اس ارادے سے کہ اللہ انہیں ان کے اعمال کا بہترین بدلہ دے بلکہ اپنے فضل سے اور کچھ زیادتی عطا فرمائے ، اللہ تعالٰی جس چاہے بے شمار روزیاں دیتا ہے ۔

That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they did and increase them from His bounty. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

اور جولوگ ایمان لائے اور انہو ں نے مطابق سنت کام کیے ہم ان کے تمام گناہوں کو ان سے دور کر دیں گے اور انہیں ان کے نیک اعمال کے بہترین بدلے دیں گے ۔

And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.

جو شخص نیک کام کرے گا وہ اپنے نفع کے لئے اور جو برا کام کرے گا اس کا وبال بھی اسی پر ہے ۔ اور آپ کا رب بندوں پر ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ۔

Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.

یہی وہ ہے جس کی بشارت اللہ تعالٰی اپنے ان بندوں کو دے رہا ہے جو ایمان لائے اور ( سنت کے مطابق ) نیک عمل کئے تو کہہ دیجئے! کہ میں اس پر تم سے کوئی بدلہ نہیں چاہتا مگر محبت رشتہ داری کی جو شخص کوئی نیکی کرے ہم اس کے لئے اس کی نیکی میں اور نیکی بڑھا دیں گے بیشک اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے والا ( اور ) بہت قدردان ہے ۔

It is that of which Allah gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for this message any payment [but] only good will through kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative.
