اور یہ کہ اپنا رخ یکسو ہو کر ( اس ) دین کی طرف کر لینا اور کبھی مشرکوں میں سے نہ ہونا ۔

And [commanded], 'Direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth, and never be of those who associate others with Allah ;

اور تو لوگوں کو اللہ کے دین میں جوق در جوق آتا دیکھ لے ۔

And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,

جب کہ یوسف نے اپنے باپ سے ذکر کیا کہ ابا جان میں نے گیارہ ستاروں کو اور سورج چاند کو دیکھا کہ وہ سب مجھے سجدہ کر رہے ہیں ۔

[Of these stories mention] when Joseph said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me."

آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے سب اسی کا ہے اور اسی کی عبادت لازم ہے ، کیا پھر تم اس کے سوا اوروں سے ڈرتے ہو؟ ۔

And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear?

یہ تمہاری امت ہے جو حقیقت میں ایک ہی امت ہے اور میں تم سب کا پروردگار ہوں پس تم میری ہی عبادت کرو ۔

Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.

یقیناً تمہارا یہ دین ایک ہی دین ہے اور میں ہی تم سب کا رب ہوں ، پس تم مجھ سے ڈرتے رہو ۔

And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."

تم میں سے ان لوگوں سے جو ایمان لائے ہیں اور نیک اعمال کئے ہیں اللہ تعالٰی وعدہ فرما چکا ہے کہ انہیں ضرور زمین میں خلیفہ بنائے گا جیسے کہ ان لوگوں کو خلیفہ بنایا تھا جو ان سے پہلے تھے اور یقیناً ان کے لئے ان کے اس دین کو مضبوطی کے ساتھ محکم کرکے جما دے گا جسے ان کے لئے وہ پسند فرما چکا ہے اور ان کے اس خوف و خطر کو وہ امن امان سے بدل دے گا ، وہ میری عبادت کریں گے میرے ساتھ کسی کو بھی شریک نہ ٹھہرائیں گے اس کے بعد بھی جو لوگ ناشکری اور کفر کریں وہ یقیناً فاسق ہیں ۔

Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient.

بیشک اللہ تعالٰی کے نزدیک دین اسلام ہی ہے اور اہل کتاب اپنے پاس علم آجانے کے بعد آپس کی سرکشی اور حسد کی بناء پر ہی اختلاف کیا ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کے ساتھ جو بھی کفر کرے اللہ تعالٰی اس کا جلد حساب لینے والا ہے ۔

Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.

نزدیک کی زمین پر اور وہ مغلوب ہونے کے بعد عنقریب غالب آجائیں گے ۔

In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome.

باعتباردین کے اس سے اچھا کون ہے ؟ جو اپنے کو اللہ کے تابع کردے اور ہو وہ بھی نیکوکار ، ساتھ ہی یکسوئی والے ابراہیم کے دین کی پیروی کر رہا ہو اور ابرہیم ( علیہ السلام ) کو اللہ تعالٰی نے اپنا دوست بنالیا ہے ۔

And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend.

اللہ تعالٰی نے تمہارے لئے وہی دین مقرر کر دیا ہے جس کے قائم کرنے کا اس نے نوح ( علیہ السلام ) کو حکم دیا تھا اور جو ( بذریعہ وحی ) ہم نے تیری طرف بھیج دی ہے ، اور جس کا تاکیدی حکم ہم نے ابراہیم اور موسیٰ اور عیسیٰ ( علیہم السلام ) کو دیا تھا کہ اس دین کو قائم رکھنا اور اس میں پھوٹ نہ ڈالنا جس چیز کی طرف آپ انہیں بلا رہے ہیں وہ تو ( ان ) مشرکین پر گراں گزرتی ہے اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہتا ہے اپنا برگزیدہ بناتا ہے اور جو بھی اس کی طرف رجوع کرے وہ اس کی صحیح راہنمائی کرتا ہے ۔

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].

وہی ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور دین حق کے ساتھ بھیجا تاکہ اسے ہر دین پر غالب کرے ، اور اللہ تعالٰی کافی ہے گواہی دینے والا ۔

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.

تم پر حرام کیا گیا مردار اور خون اور خنزیر کا گوشت اور جس پر اللہ کے سوا دوسرے کا نام پکارا گیا ہو ، اور جو گلا گھٹنے سے مرا ہو ، اور جو کسی ضرب سے مر گیا ہو اور جو اونچی جگہ سے گر کر مرا ہو جو کسی کے سینگ مارنے سے مرا ہو ، اور جسے درندوں نے پھاڑ کھایا ہو ، لیکن اسے تم ذبح کر ڈالو تو حرام نہیں ، اور جو آستانوں پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو ، اور یہ بھی کہ قرعہ کے تیروں کے ذریعے فال گیری ہو ، یہ سب بدترین گناہ ہیں ، آج کفار تمھارے دین سے ناآمید ہوگئے ، خبردار تم ان سے نہ ڈرنا اور مجھ سے ڈرتے رہنا ، آج میں نے تمہارے لئے دین کو کامل کر دیا اور تم پر اپنا انعام بھرپور کر دیا اور تمہارے لئے اسلام کے دین ہونے پر رضامند ہوگیا ۔ پس جو شخص شدت کی بھوک میں بے قر ار ہو جائے بشرطیکہ کسی گناہ کی طرف اس کا میلان نہ ہو تو یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی معاف کرنے والا ہے اور بہت بڑا مہربان ہے ( ۱۰ ) ۔

Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

وہی ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور سچا دین دے کر بھیجا تاکہ اسے اور تمام مذاہب پر غالب کر دے اگرچہ مشرکین ناخوش ہوں ۔

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it.

اسی نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور سچے دین کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے کہ اسے اور تمام مذہبوں پر غالب کر دے اگرچہ مشرک برا مانیں ۔

It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it.

انہیں اس کے سوا کوئی حکم نہیں دیا گیا کہ صرف اللہ کی عبادت کریں اسی کے لئے دین کو خالص رکھیں ۔ ابراہیم حنیف کے دین پر اور نماز کوقائم رکھیں اور زکوۃ دیتے رہیں یہی ہے دین سیدھی ملت کا ۔

And they were not commanded except to worship Allah , [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.
