Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?
Kiya logon ko bhalaiyon ka hukum kertay ho? Aur khud apney aap ko bhool jatay ho ba wajood yeh kay tum kitab parhtay ho kiya itni bhi tum mein samajh nahi?
क्या तुम लोगों से नेक काम करने को कहते हो और अपने आपको भूल जाते हो; हालाँकि तुम किताब की तिलावत करते हो, क्या तुम समझते नहीं?
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
Jab ( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney apni qom say kaha kay aey meri qom! bachray ko mabood bana ker tum ney apni janon per zulm kiya hai abb tum apney peda kerney walay ki taraf rujoo kero apney ko aapas mein qatal kero tumhari behtri Allah Taalaa kay nazdeek issi mein hai to uss ney tumhari tauba qabool ki woh tauba qabool kerney wala aur reham-o-karam kerney wala hai.
और जब मूसा ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि ऐ मेरी क़ौम! तुमने बछड़े को माबूद बनाकर अपनी जानों पर ज़ुल्म किया है, अब अपने पैदा करने वाले की तरफ़ मुतवज्जह हो और अपने (मुजरिमों) को अपने हाथों से क़त्ल करो, यह तुम्हारे लिए तुम्हारे पैदा करने वाले के नज़दीक बेहतर है, तो अल्लाह ने तुम्हारी तौबा क़बूल फ़रमाई, बेशक वही तौबा क़बूल करने वाला रहम करने वाला है।

और जब मूसा ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि ऐ मेरी क़ौम! तुमने बछड़े को माबूद बनाकर अपनी जानों पर ज़ुल्म किया है, अब अपने पैदा करने वाले की तरफ़ मुतवज्जह हो और अपने (मुजरिमों) को अपने हाथों से क़त्ल करो, यह तुम्हारे लिए तुम्हारे पैदा करने वाले के नज़दीक बेहतर है, तो अल्लाह ने तुम्हारी तौबा क़बूल फ़रमाई, बेशक वही तौबा क़बूल करने वाला रहम करने वाला है।
And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing.
Aur jab hum ney tum say wada liya kay aapas mein khoon na bahana ( qatal na kerna ) aur aapas walon ko jila watan na kerna tum ney iqrar kiya aur tum iss kay shahid banay.
और जब हमने तुमसे यह अहद लिया कि तुम अपनों का ख़ून न बहाओगे और अपने लोगों को अपनी बस्तियों से न निकालोगे, फिर तुमने इक़रार किया और तुम उसके गवाह हो।
Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
Lekin phir bhi tum ney aapas mein qatal kiya aur aapas kay aik firqay ko jila watan bhi kiya aur gunah aur ziyadti kay kaamon mein inn kay khilaf doosray ki taraf daari ki haan woh jab qaidi ho ker tumharay pass aaye to tum ney unn kay fidye diye lekin inn ka nikalna jo tum per haram tha ( uss ka kuch khayal na kiya ) kiya baaz ehkaam per eman rakhtay ho aur baaz kay sath kufur kertay ho? Tum mein say jo bhi aisa keray uss ki saza iss kay siwa kiya ho kay duniya mein ruswaee aur qayamat kay din sakht azab ki maar aur Allah Taalaa tumharay aemaal say bey khabar nahi.
फिर तुम ही वे लोग हो कि अपनों को क़त्ल करते हो और अपने ही एक गिरोह को उनकी बस्तियों से निकालते हो, तुम उनके मुक़ाबले में उनके दुश्मनों की मदद करते हो गुनाह और ज़ुल्म के साथ, फिर अगर वे तुम्हारे पास क़ैद होकर आते हैं तो तुम फ़िदया देकर उनको छुड़ाते हो; हालाँकि ख़ुद उनका निकालना तुम्हारे ऊपर हराम था, क्या तुम किताबे-इलाही के एक हिस्से को मानते हो और एक हिस्से का इनकार करते हो, पस तुम में से जो लोग ऐसा करें उनकी सज़ा इसके सिवा क्या है कि उनको दुनिया की ज़िंदगी में रुसवाई मिले, और क़यामत के दिन उनको सख़्त अज़ाब में डाल दिया जाए, और अल्लाह उस चीज़ से बेख़बर नहीं जो तुम कर रहे हो।
It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah , so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.
Rozay ki raaton mein apni biwiyon say milna tumharay liye halal kiya gaya woh tumhara libas hain aur tum unn kay libas ho tumhari posheeda khayanaton ka Allah Taalaa ko ilm hai uss ney tumhari tauba qabool farma ker tum say dar guzar farma liya abb tumhen inn say mubashirat ki aur Allah Taalaa ki likhi hui cheez ko talash kerney ki ijazat hai tum khatay peetay raho yahan tak kay subha ka safaid dhaga siyah dhagay say zahir hojaye. Phir raat tak rozay ko poora kero aur aurton say uss waqt mubashirat na kero jab kay tum masjidon mein aeytikaaf mein ho. Yeh Allah Taalaa ki hudood hain tum unn kay qarib bhi na jao. Issi tarah Allah Taalaa apni aayaten logon kay liye biyan farmata hai takay woh bachen.
तुम्हारे लिए रोज़े की रात में अपनी बीवियों के पास जाना जायज़ किया गया है वे तुम्हारे लिए लिबास हैं और तुम उनके लिए लिबास हो, अल्लाह ने देखा कि तुम अपने आप से ख़्यानत कर रहे थे तो उसने तुम पर इनायत की और तुम को माफ़ कर दिया, तो अब तुम उनसे मिलो और वह तलाश करो जो अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए लिख दिया है, और खाओ और पियो यहाँ तक कि सुबह की सफ़ेद धारी काली धारी से अलग ज़ाहिर हो जाए, फिर पूरा करो रोज़ा रात तक और जब तुम मस्जिद में ऐतिकाफ़ में हो तो बीवियों से ख़लवत न करो, ये अल्लाह की हदें हैं तुम उनके नज़दीक न जाओ, इस तरह अल्लाह अपनी आयतें लोगों के लिए बयान करता है; ताकि वे बचें।
O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.
Aey eman walo! Apney aapas kay maal na jaeez tareeqay say mat khao magar yeh kay tumhari aapas ki raza mandi say ho khareed-o-farokht aur apney aap ko qatal na kero yaqeenan Allah Taalaa tum per nihayat meharban hai.
ऐ ईमान वालो! आपस में एक-दूसरे का माल नाहक़ तौर पर न खाओ, मगर यह कि तिजारत हो आपस की ख़ुशी से, और ख़ून न करो आपस में, बेशक अल्लाह तुम्हारे ऊपर बड़ा मेहरबान है।
And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].
Aur agar hum inn per yeh farz ker detay kay apni janon ko qatal ker daalo! Ya apney gharon say nikal jao! To issay inn mein say boht hi kum log baja latay aur agar yeh wohi kerne jiss ki enhen naseehat ki jati hai to yaqeenan yehi inn kay liye behtar aur boht ziyada mazbooti wala ho.
और अगर हम उनको हुक्म देते कि अपने आपको हलाक करो या अपने घरों से निकलो, तो उनमें से थोड़े ही इस पर अमल करते, और अगर ये लोग वह करते जिसकी उन्हें नसीहत की जाती है तो उनके लिए यह बात बेहतर और ईमान पर ज़्यादा साबित रखने वाली होती।
O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah is you return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do.
Aey eman walo! Apni fiker kero jab tum raah-e-raast per chal rahey ho to jo shaks gumrah rahey uss say tumahara koi nuksan nahi. Allah hi kay pass tum sab ko jana hai phir woh tum sab ko batla dey ga jo kuch tum sab kertay thay.
ऐ ईमान वालो! तुम अपनी फ़िक्र रखो, कोई गुमराह हो तो उससे तुम्हारा नुक़सान नहीं अगर तुम हिदायत पर रहो, तुम सबको अल्लाह के पास लौट कर जाना है फिर वह तुम को बता देगा जो कुछ तुम कर रहे थे।
And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant."
Aur uss shaks say ziyada kaun zalim hoga jo Allah Taalaa per jhoot tohmar lagaye ya yun kahey kay mujh per wahee aati hai halankay uss kay pass kissi baat ki bhi wahee nahi aaee aur jo shaks yun kahey kay jaisa kalaam Allah ney nazil kiya hai ussi tarah ka mein bhi laata hun aur agar aap uss waqt dekhen jabkay yeh zalim log maut ko sakhtiyon mein hongay aur farishtay apney haath barha rahey hongay kay haan apni jaanen nikal lo. Aaj tum ko zillat ki saza di jaye gi iss sabab say kay tum Allah Taalaa kay zimmay jhooti baaten lagatay thay aur tum Allah Taalaa ki aayaat say takabbur kertay thay.
और उससे बढ़कर कौन ज़ालिम होगा जो अल्लाह पर झूठी तोहमत बाँधे या कहे कि मुझ पर वह्य उतरी है; हालाँकि उस पर कोई वह्य नाज़िल न की गई हो, और कहे कि जैसा कलाम अल्लाह ने उतारा है मैं भी उतारूँगा, और अगर आप वह वक़्त देखो जबकि ये ज़ालिम मौत की सख़्तियों में होंगे और फ़रिश्ते हाथ बढ़ा रहे होंगे कि लाओ अपनी जानें निकालो, आज तुमको ज़िल्लत का अज़ाब दिया जाएगा इस वजह से कि तुम अल्लाह के बारे में झूठी बातें कहते थे और तुम अल्लाह की निशानियों से तकब्बुर किया करते थे।
Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].
Maheenon ki ginti Allah kay nazdeek kitab Allah mein baara ki hai ussi din say jab say aasman-o-zamin ko uss ney peda kiya hai inn mein say char hurmat-o-adab kay hain. Yehi durust deen hai tum inn maheenon mein apni janon per zulm na kero aur tum tamam mushrikon say jihad kero jaisay kay woh tum sab say lartay hain aur jaan rakho kay Allah Taalaa muttaqiyon kay sath hai.
बेशक महीनों की गिनती अल्लाह के नज़दीक बारह महीने हैं अल्लाह की किताब में जिस दिन उसने आसमानों और ज़मीन को पैदा किया, उनमें से चार हुरमत वाले हैं, यही है सीधा दीन पस उनमें तुम अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म न करो, और मुशरिकों से सब मिलकर लड़ो जिस तरह वे सब मिलकर तुमसे लड़ते हैं, और जान लो कि अल्लाह परहेज़गारों के साथ है।
And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allah ] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment."
Jab aur kaam ka faisla ker diya hayega to shetan kahey ga kay Allah ney to tumhen sacha wada diya tha aur mein ney tum say jo waday kiye thay unn ka khilaf kiya mera tum per koi dabao to tha hi nahi haan mein ney tumhen pukara aur tum ney meri maan li pus tum mujhay ilzam na lagao bulkay khud apney aap ko malamat kero na mein tumhara faryad rus aur na tum meri faryad ko phonchney walay mein to siray say manta hi nahi kay tum mujhay iss say pehlay Allah ka shareek mantay rahey yaqeenan zalimon kay liye dard naak azab hai.
और जब मामले का फ़ैसला हो जाएगा तो शैतान कहेगा कि अल्लाह ने तुमसे सच्चा वादा किया था और मैंने तुमसे वादा किया तो मैंने उसकी ख़िलाफ़वर्ज़ी की, और मेरा तुम्हारे ऊपर कोई ज़ोर न था मगर यह कि मैंने तुमको बुलाया तो तुमने मेरी बात को मान लिया, पस तुम मुझको इल्ज़ाम न दो और तुम अपने आपको इल्ज़ाम दो, न मैं तुम्हारा मददगार हो सकता हूँ और न तुम मेरे मददगार हो सकते हो, मैं ख़ुद इससे बेज़ार हूँ कि तुम इससे पहले मुझको शरीक ठहराते थे, बेशक ज़ालिमों के लिए दर्दनाक अज़ाब है।
He presents to you an example from yourselves. Do you have among those whom your right hands possess any partners in what We have provided for you so that you are equal therein [and] would fear them as your fear of one another [within a partnership]? Thus do We detail the verses for a people who use reason.
Allah Taalaa ney tumharay liye aik misaal khud tumhari hi biyan farmaee jo kuch hum ney tumhen dey rakha hai kiya uss mein tumharay ghulamon mein say bhi koi tumhara shareek hai? Kiya tum aur woh iss mein barabar darjay kay ho? Aur tum inn ka aisa khatra rakhtay ho jaisa khud apno ka hum aqal rakhney walon kay liye issi tarah khol khol ker aayaten biyan ker detay hain.
उस ने तुम्हारे लिए स्वयं तुम्हीं में से एक मिसाल पेश की है। क्या जो रोज़ी हम ने तुम्हें दी है, उस में तुम्हारे अधीनस्थों में से कुछ तुम्हारे साझीदार है कि तुम सब उस में बराबर के हो, तुम उन का ऐसा डर रखते हो जैसा अपने लोगों का डर रखते हो? - इस प्रकार हम उन लोगों के लिए आयतें खोल-खोलकर प्रस्तुत करते हैं जो बुद्धि से काम लेते हैं। -
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused."
Be-shak jin logon ney kufur kiya unhen yeh awaz di jayegi kay yaqeenan Allah ka tum per gussa hona uss say boht ziyadah hai jo tum gussa hotay thay apnay ji say jab tum eman ki taraf bulaye jatay thay phir kufur kerney lagtay thay.
निश्चय ही जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया उन्हें पुकारकर कहा जाएगा कि "अपने आप से जो तुम्हें विद्वेष एवं क्रोध है, तुम्हारे प्रति अल्लाह का क्रोध एवं द्वेष उस से कहीं बढकर है कि जब तुम्हें ईमान की ओर बुलाया जाता था तो तुम इनकार करते थे।"
O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
Aey eman walo! Mard doosray mardon ka mazak na urayen mumkin hai kay yeh unn say behtar ho aur na orten orton ka mazak urayen mumkin hai kay yeh unn say behtar hon aur aapas mein aik doosray ko aib na lagao aur na kissi ko buray laqab do eman kay baad fisq bura naam hai aur jo toba na keren wohi log zalim hain.
ऐ लोगो, जो ईमान लाए हो! न पुरुषों का कोई गिरोह दूसरे पुरुषों की हँसी उड़ाए, सम्भव है वे उन से अच्छे हों और न स्त्रियाँ स्त्रियों की हँसी उड़ाए, सम्भव है वे उन से अच्छी हों, और न अपनों पर ताने कसो और न आपस में एक-दूसरे को बुरी उपाधियों से पुकारो। ईमान के पश्चात अवज्ञाकारी का नाम जुडना बहुत ही बुरा है। और जो व्यक्ति बाज़ न आए, तो ऐसे ही व्यक्ति ज़ालिम हैं
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.
Inn logon ko jo baray gunahon say bachtay hain aur beyhayaee say bhi siwaye kissi chotay say gunah kay be-shak tera rab boht kushada maghfirat wala hai woh tumhen bakhoobi jaanta hai jabkay uss ney tumhen zamin say peda kiya aur jabkay tum apni maaon kay pet mein bachay thay pus tum apni pakeezgi aap biyan na kero wohi pehezgaron ko khoob janta hai.
वे लोग जो बड़े गुनाहों और अश्लील कर्मों से बचते हैं, यह और बात है कि संयोगबश कोई छोटी बुराई उन से हो जाए। निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब क्षमाशीलता मे बड़ा व्यापक है। वह तुम्हें उस समय से भली-भाँति जानता है, जबकि उस ने तुम्हें धरती से पैदा किया और जबकि तुम अपनी माँओ के पेटों में भ्रुण अवस्था में थे। अतः अपने मन की पवित्रता और निखार का दावा न करो। वह उस व्यक्ति को भली-भाँति जानता है, जिस ने डर रखा
The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah . And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah .
Yeh chilla chilla ker unn say kahen gey kay kiya hum tumharay sath na thay woh kahengay kay haan thay to sahi lekin tum ney apney app ko fitnay mein phansa rakha tha our intizar mein hi rahey our shak-o-shuba kertay raheyour tumhen tumhari fazool tamannao ney dhokay mein hi rakha yahan tak kay Allah ka hukum aa phoncha our tumhen Allah kay baray mein dhoka denay walay ney dhokay mein hi rakha.
वे उन्हें पुकारकर कहेंगे, "क्या हम तुम्हारे साथी नहीं थे?" वे कहेंगे, "क्यों नहीं? किन्तु तुम ने तो अपने आप को फ़ितने (गुमराही) में डाला और प्रतीक्षा करते रहे और सन्देह में पड़े रहे और कामनाओं ने तुम्हें धोखे में डाले रखा है
O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
Aey eman walo! Tum apney aap ko aur apney ghar walon ko uss aag say bachao jiss ka endhan insan hain aur pathar jiss per sakht dil mazboot farishtay muqarrar hain jinhen jo hukum Allah Taalaa deta hai uss ki na farmani nahi kertay bulkay jo hukum diya jaye baja laatay hain.
ऐ ईमान लाने वालो! अपने आप को और अपने घर वालों को उस आग से बचाओ जिस का ईंधन मनुष्य और पत्थर होंगे, जिस पर कठोर स्वभाव के ऐसे बलशाली फ़रिश्ते नियुक्त होंगे जो अल्लाह की अवज्ञा उस में नहीं करेंगे जो आदेश भी वह उन्हें देगा, और वे वही करेंगे जिस का उन्हें आदेश दिया जाएगा
