ہم نے کہا اس گائے کا ایک ٹکڑا مقتول کے جسم پر لگا دو ( وہ جی اٹھے گا ) اسی طرح اللہ مردوں کو زندہ کر کے تمہیں تمہاری عقلمندی کے لئے اپنی نشانیاں دکھاتا ہے ۔

So, We said, "Strike the slain man with part of it." Thus does Allah bring the dead to life, and He shows you His signs that you might reason.

کیا تو نے اسے نہیں دیکھا جو سلطنت پا کر ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) سے اس کے رب کے بارے میں جھگڑ رہا تھا ، جب ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) نے کہا میرا رب تو وہ ہے جو جلاتا اور مارتا ہے ، وہ کہنے لگا میں بھی جلاتا اور مارتا ہوں ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) نے کہا کہ اللہ تعالٰی سورج کو مشرق کی طرف سے لے آتا ہے تو اسے مغرب کی جانب سے لے آ اب تو وہ کافر بھونچکا رہ گیا ، اور اللہ تعالیٰ ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

Have you not considered the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord [merely] because Allah had given him kingship? When Abraham said, "My Lord is the one who gives life and causes death," he said, "I give life and cause death." Abraham said, "Indeed, Allah brings up the sun from the east, so bring it up from the west." So the disbeliever was overwhelmed [by astonishment], and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

یا اس شخص کے مانند کہ جس کا گُزر اس بستی پر ہوا جو چھت کے بل اوندھی پڑی ہوئی تھی ، وہ کہنے لگا اس کی موت کے بعد اللہ تعالٰی اسے کس طرح زندہ کرے گا ؟تو اللہ تعالٰی نے اسے مار دیا سو سال کے لیئے ، پھر اسے اُٹھایا ، پوچھا کتنی مدت تم پر گزری؟ کہنے لگا ایک دن یا دن کا کچھ حصہ فرمایا بلکہ تو سو سال تک رہا پھر اب تو اپنے کھانے پینے کو دیکھ کہ بالکل خراب نہیں ہوا اور اپنے گدھے کو بھی دیکھ ، ہم تجھے لوگوں کے لئے ایک نشانی بناتے ہیں تو دیکھ کہ ہم ہڈیوں کو کس طرح اٹھاتے ہیں ، پھر ان پر گوشت چڑھاتے ہیں ، جب یہ سب ظاہر ہو چکا تو کہنے لگا میں جانتا ہوں کہ اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Or [consider such an example] as the one who passed by a township which had fallen into ruin. He said, "How will Allah bring this to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years; then He revived him. He said, "How long have you remained?" The man said, "I have remained a day or part of a day." He said, "Rather, you have remained one hundred years. Look at your food and your drink; it has not changed with time. And look at your donkey; and We will make you a sign for the people. And look at the bones [of this donkey] - how We raise them and then We cover them with flesh." And when it became clear to him, he said, "I know that Allah is over all things competent."

اور جب ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) نے کہا کہ اے میرے پروردگار !مجھے دکھا تو مُردوں کو کس طرح زندہ کرے گا ؟ ( جناب باری تعالٰی نے ) فرمایا کیا تمہیں ایمان نہیں؟ جواب دیا ایمان تو ہے لیکن میرے دل کی تسکین ہو جائے گی فرمایا چار پرند لو ، ان کے ٹکڑے کر ڈالو پھر ہر پہاڑپر ان کا ایک ایک ٹکڑا رکھ دو پھر انہیں پکارو تمہارے پاس دوڑتے ہوئے آجائیں گے اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ تعالٰی غالب ہے حکمتوں والا ہے ،

And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." [ Allah ] said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but [I ask] only that my heart may be satisfied." [ Allah ] said, "Take four birds and commit them to yourself. Then [after slaughtering them] put on each hill a portion of them; then call them - they will come [flying] to you in haste. And know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise."

اے ایمان والو! تم ان لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جانا جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور اپنے بھائیوں کے حق میں جب کہ وہ سفر میں ہوں یا جہاد میں ہوں کہا کہ اگر یہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مرتے اور نہ مارے جاتے ، اس کی وجہ یہ تھی کہ اس خیال کو اللہ تعالٰی ان کی دِلی حسرت کا سبب بنا دے ، اللہ تعالٰی جِلاتا اور مارتا ہے اور اللہ تمہارے عمل کو دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved and said about their brothers when they traveled through the land or went out to fight, "If they had been with us, they would not have died or have been killed," so Allah makes that [misconception] a regret within their hearts. And it is Allah who gives life and causes death, and Allah is Seeing of what you do.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اے لوگو! میں تم سب کی طرف سے اس اللہ تعا لٰی کا بھیجا ہوا ہوں ، جس کی بادشاہی تمام آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے اس کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں وہی زندگی دیتا ہے اور وہی موت دیتا ہے سو اللہ تعالٰی پر ایمان لاؤ اور اس کے نبی امی پر جو کہ اللہ تعالٰی پر اور اس کے احکام پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور ان کا اتباع کرو تاکہ تم راہ پر آجاؤ

Say, [O Muhammad], "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death." So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him that you may be guided.

بلا شبہ اللہ ہی کی سلطنت ہے آسمانوں اور زمین میں وہی جلاتا اور مارتا ہے ، اور تمہارا اللہ کے سوا نہ کوئی یار ہے اور نہ کوئی مددگار ۔

Indeed, to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death. And you have not besides Allah any protector or any helper.

وہی جان ڈالتا ہے وہی جان نکالتا ہے اور تم سب اسی کے پاس لائے جاؤ گے ۔ ۔

He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned

یہ اس لئے کہ اللہ ہی حق ہے اور وہی مردوں کو جلاتا ہے اور وہ ہر ہرچیز پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے ۔

That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent

اور یہ وہی ہے جو جلاتا ہے اور مارتا ہے اور رات دن کے ردو بدل کا مختار بھی وہی ہے ۔ کیا تم کو سمجھ بوجھ نہیں؟

And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?

۔ ( وہی ) زندہ کو مردہ سے اور مردہ کو زندہ سے نکالتا ہے اور وہی زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کرتا ہے اسی طرح تم ( بھی ) نکالے جاؤ گے ۔

He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.

اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک یہ ( بھی ) ہے کہ وہ تمہیں ڈرانے اور امیدوار بنانے کے لئے بجلیاں دکھاتا ہے اور آسمان سے بارش برساتا ہے اور اس سے مردہ زمین کو زندہ کر دیتا ہے ، اس میں ( بھی ) عقلمندوں کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightening [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.

پس آپ رحمت الٰہی کے آثار دیکھیں کہ زمین کی موت کے بعد کس طرح اللہ تعالٰی اسے زندہ کر دیتا ہے؟ کچھ شک نہیں کہ وہی مردوں کو زندہ کرنے والا ہے اور وہ ہر ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

آپ جواب دیجئے! کہ انہیں وہ زندہ کرے گا جس نے انہیں اول مرتبہ پیدا کیا ہے جو سب طرح کی پیدائش کا بخوبی جاننے والا ہے ۔

Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."

وہی ہے جو جلاتا ہے اور مار ڈالتا ہے پھر جب وہ کسی کام کا کرنا مقرر کرتا ہے تو اسے صرف یہ کہتا ہے کہ ہو جا پس وہ ہو جاتا ہے ۔

He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is.

اس اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ( یہ بھی ) ہے کہ تو زمین کو دبی دبائی دیکھتا ہے پھر جب ہم اس پر مینہ برساتے ہیں تو وہ ترو تازہ ہو کر ابھرنے لگتی ہے جس نے اسے زندہ کیا وہ یقینی طور پر مردوں کو بھی زندہ کرنے والا ہے بیشک وہ ہر ( ہر ) چیز پر قادر ہے ۔

And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who has given it life is the Giver of Life to the dead. Indeed, He is over all things competent.

کیا ان لوگوں نے اللہ تعالٰی کے سوا اور کارساز بنا لئے ہیں ( حقیقتاً تو ) اللہ تعالٰی ہی کارساز ہے وہی مردوں کو زندہ کرے گا اور وہی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

کوئی معبود نہیں اس کے سوا وُہی جلاتا ہے اور مارتا ہے وہی تمہارا رب ہے اور تمہارے اگلے باپ دادوں کا ۔

There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.

کیا وہ نہیں دیکھتے کہ جس اللہ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اور ان کے پیدا کرنے سے وہ نہ تھکا مردوں کو زندہ کرنے پر قادر ہے ؟ کیوں نہ ہو ؟ وہ یقیناً ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Do they not see that Allah , who created the heavens and earth and did not fail in their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yes. Indeed, He is over all things competent.

آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہت اسی کی ہے وہی زندگی دیتا ہے اور موت بھی وہ ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.

یقین مانو کہ اللہ ہی زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتا ہے ، ہم نے تو تمہارے لئے اپنی آیتیں بیان کر دیں تاکہ تم سمجھو ۔

Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.

کیا ( اللہ تعالیٰ ) اس ( امر ) پر قادر نہیں کہ مردے کو زندہ کر دے ۔

Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?
