وہ اللہ ایسا ہے کہ تم کو خشکی اور دریا میں چلاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتی میں ہوتے ہو اور وہ کشتیاں لوگوں کو موافق ہوا کے ذریعے سے لے کر چلتی ہیں اور وہ لوگ ان سے خوش ہوتے ہیں ان پر ایک جھونکا سخت ہوا کا آتا ہے اور ہر طرف سے ان پر موجیں اٹھتی چلی آتی ہیں اور وہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ( برے ) آگھرے ( اس وقت ) سب خالص اعتقاد کرکے اللہ ہی کو پکارتے ہیں کہ اگر تو ہم کو اس سے بچا لے تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار بن جائیں گے ۔

It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from everywhere and they assume that they are surrounded, supplicating Allah , sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful."

اور ہم بھیجتے ہیں بوجھل ہوائیں پھر آسمان سے پانی برسا کر وہ تمہیں پلاتے ہیں اور تم اس کا ذخیرہ کرنے والے نہیں ہو ۔

And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.

آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش ، رات دن کا ہیر پھیر ، کشتیوں کا لوگوں کونفع دینے والی چیزوں کو لئے ہوئے سمندروں میں چلنا آسمان سے پانی اتار کر ، مردہ زمین کو زندہ کر دینا اس میں ہر قسم کے جانوروں کو پھیلا دینا ، ہواؤں کے رخ بدلنا ، اور بادل ، جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان مسخر ہیں ، ان میں عقلمندوں کے لئے قدرت الٰہی کی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.

ہم نے تند و تیز ہوا کو سلیمان ( علیہ السلام ) کے تابع کر دیا جو اس کے فرمان کے مطابق اس زمین کی طرف چلتی تھی جہاں ہم نے برکت دے رکھی تھی ، اور ہم ہرچیز سے باخبر اور دانا ہیں ۔

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing.

اور وہی ہے جو باران رحمت سے پہلے خوشخبری دینے والی ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے اور ہم آسمان سے پاک پانی برساتے ہیں ۔

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

کیا وہ جو تمہیں خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں راہ دکھاتا ہے اور جو اپنی رحمت سے پہلے ہی خوشخبریاں دینے والی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود بھی ہے جنہیں یہ شریک کرتے ہیں ان سب سے اللہ بلند و بالا تر ہے ۔

Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah ? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

اس کی نشانیوں میں سے خوشخبریاں دینے والی ہواؤں کو چلانا بھی ہے اس لئے کہ تمہیں اپنی رحمت سے لطف اندوز کرے اور اس لئے کہ اس کے حکم سے کشتیاں چلیں اور اس لئے کہ اس کے فضل کو تم ڈھونڈو اور اس لئے کہ تم شکر گزاری کرو ۔

And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful.

اور ہم نے سلیمان کے لئے ہوا کو مسخر کر دیا کہ صبح کی منزل اس کی مہینہ بھر کی ہوتی تھی اور شام کی منزل بھی اور ہم نے ان کے لئے تانبے کا چشمہ بہا دیا اور اس کے رب کے حکم سے بعض جنات اس کی ماتحتی میں اس کے سامنے کام کرتے تھے اور ان میں سے جو بھی ہمارے حکم سے سرتابی کرے ہم اسے بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ کے عذاب کا مزہ چکھائیں گے ۔

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid] copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our command - We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze.

اور اللہ ہی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے جو بادلوں کو اٹھاتی ہیں پھر ہم بادلوں کو خشک زمین کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں اور اس سے زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتے ہیں ۔ اسی طرح دوبارہ جی اٹھنا ( بھی ) ہے ۔

And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.

پس ہم نے ہوا کو ان کے ماتحت کر دیا وہ آپ کے حکم سے جہاں آپ چاہتے نرمی سے پہنچا دیا کرتی تھی ۔

So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed,

بالآخر ہم نے ان پر ایک تیز تند وآندھی منحوس دنوں میں بھیج دی کہ انہیں دنیاوی زندگی میں ذلت کے عذاب کا مزہ چکھا دیں ، اور ( یقین مانو ) کہ آخرت کا عذاب اس سے بہت زیادہ رسوائی والا ہے اور وہ مدد نہیں کئے جائیں گے ۔

So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.

اگر وہ چاہے تو ہوا بند کر دے اور یہ کشتیاں سمندروں پر رکی رہ جائیں ۔ یقیناً اس میں ہر صبر کرنے والے شکر گزار کے لئے نشانیاں ہیں ۔

If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

اور رات دن کے بدلے میں اور جو کچھ روزی اللہ تعالٰی آسمان سے نازل فرما کر زمین کو اسکی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتا ہے ، ( اس میں ) اور ہواؤں کے بدلنے میں بھی ان لوگوں کے لئے جو عقل رکھتے ہیں نشانیاں ہیں ۔

And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason.

پھر جب انہوں نے عذاب کو بصورت بادل دیکھا اپنی وادیوں کی طرف آتے ہوئے تو کہنے لگے یہ ابر ہم پر برسنے والا ہے ( نہیں ) بلکہ دراصل یہ ابر وہ ( عذاب ) ہے جس کی تم جلدی کر رہے تھے ہوا ہے جس میں دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,

قسم ہے بکھیرنے والیوں کی اڑا کر ۔

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

ہم نے ان پر تیز و تند مسلسل چلنے والی ہوا ، ایک پیہم منحوس دن میں بھیج دی ۔

Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,

یا کیا تم اس بات سے نڈر ہوگئے ہو کہ آسمانوں والا تم پر پتھر برسادے؟ پھر تمہیں معلوم ہو ہی جائے گا کہ میرا ڈرانا کیسا تھا ۔

Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones? Then you would know how [severe] was My warning.

اور عاد بیحد تیز و تند ہوا سے غارت کر دیئے گئے ۔

And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind

اور وہ ایسا ہے کہ اپنی باران رحمت سے پہلے ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے کہ وہ خوش کر دیتی ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ہوائیں بھاری بادلوں کو اٹھا لیتی ہیں تو ہم اس بادل کو کسی خشک سرزمین کی طرف ہانک لے جاتے ہیں پھر اس بادل سے پانی برساتے ہیں پھر اس پانی سے ہر قسم کے پھل نکالتے ہیں یوں ہی ہم مردوں کو نکال کھڑا کریں گے تاکہ تم سمجھو ۔

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded.

پھر زور سے جھونکا دینے والیوں کی قسم ۔

And the winds that blow violently
