آسمانوں کی اور زمین کی سلطنت اللہ تعالٰی ہی کے لئے ہے ، وہ جو چاہتا ہے پیدا کرتا ہے جس کو چاہتا ہے بیٹیاں دیتا ہے جسے چاہتا ہے بیٹے دیتا ہے ۔

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males.

یا انہیں جمع کر دیتا ہے بیٹے بھی اور بیٹیاں بھی اور جسے چاہے بانجھ کر دیتا ہے وہ بڑے علم والا اور کامل قدرت والا ہے ۔

Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.

اور یہ کہ آپ کے رب ہی کی طرف پہنچنا ہے ۔

And that to your Lord is the finality

اور یہ کہ وہی ہنساتا ہے اور وہی رلاتا ہے ۔

And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep

اور یہ کہ وہی مارتا ہے اور جلاتا ہے ۔

And that it is He who causes death and gives life

اور یہ کہ اسی نے جوڑا یعنی نر مادہ پیدا کیا ہے ۔

And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

نطفہ سے جب کہ وہ ٹپکایا جاتا ہے ۔

From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

اور یہ کہ اسی کے ذمہ دوبارہ پیدا کرنا ہے ۔

And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation

اور یہ کہ وہی مالدار بناتا ہے اور سرمایہ دیتا ہے ۔

And that it is He who enriches and suffices

اور یہ کہ وہی شعریٰ ( ستارے ) کا رب ہے ۔

And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius

اور یہ کہ اسی نے عاد اول کو ہلاک کیا ہے ۔

And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad

اور ثمود کو بھی ( جن میں سے ) ایک کو بھی باقی نہ رکھا ۔

And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] -

اور اس سے پہلے قوم نوح کو ، یقیناً وہ بڑے ظالم اور سرکش تھے ۔

And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.

اور مؤتفکہ ( شہر یا الٹی ہوئی بستیوں کو ) اسی نے الٹ دیا ۔

And the overturned towns He hurled down

پھر اس پر چھا دیا جو چھایا ۔

And covered them by that which He covered.

پس اے انسان تو اپنے رب کی کس کس نعمت کے بارے میں جھگڑے گا؟

Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

یہ ( نبی ) ڈرانے والے ہیں پہلے ڈرانے والوں میں سے ۔

This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners.

آنے والی گھڑی قریب آگئی ہے ۔

The Approaching Day has approached.

اللہ کے سوا اس کا ( وقت معین پر کھول ) دکھانے والا اور کوئی نہیں ۔

Of it, [from those] besides Allah , there is no remover.

بیشک ہم نے ہرچیز کو ایک ( مقررہ ) اندازےپر پیدا کیا ہے ۔

Indeed, all things We created with predestination.

نہ کوئی مصیبت دنیا میں آتی ہے نہ ( خاص ) تمہاری جانوں میں مگر اس سے پہلے کہ ہم اس کو پیدا کریں وہ ایک خاص کتاب میں لکھی ہوئی ہے یہ ( کام ) اللہ تعالٰی پر ( بالکل ) آسان ہے ۔

No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah , is easy -

کوئی مصیبت اللہ کی اجازت کے بغیر نہیں پہنچ سکتی جو اللہ پر ایمان لائے اللہ اس کے دل کو ہدایت دیتا ہے اور اللہ ہرچیز کو خوب جاننے والا ہے ۔

No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah . And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.

اور وہ اس وقت نصیحت حاصل کریں گے جب اللہ تعالٰی چاہے وہ اسی لائق ہے کہ اس سے ڈریں اور اس لائق بھی کہ وہ بخشے ۔

And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness.

ہم نے انہیں پیدا کیا اور ہم نے ہی ان کے جوڑ اور بند ھن مضبوط کئے اور ہم جب چاہیں ان کے عوض ان جیسے اوروں کو بدل لائیں ۔

We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.

اور تم نہ چاہو گے مگر یہ کہ اللہ تعالٰی ہی چاہے بیشک اللہ تعالٰی علم والا با حکمت ہے ۔

And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

جسے چاہے اپنی رحمت میں داخل کر لے ، اور ظالموں کے لئے اس نے دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے ۔

He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers - He has prepared for them a painful punishment.
