الفاظ ( اَيَّامٍ )

ماہ رمضان وہ ہے جس میں قرآن اتارا گیا جو لوگوں کو ہدایت کرنے والا ہے اور جس میں ہدایت کی حق وباطل کی تمیز کی نشانیاں ہیں تم میں سے جو شخص اس مہینے کو پائے اُسے روزہ رکھنا چاہے ہاں جو بیمار ہو یا مسافر ہو اُسے دوسرے دنوں یہ گنتی پوری کرنی چاہیے اللہ تعالٰی کا ارادہ تمہارے ساتھ آسانی کا ہے سختی کا نہیں وہ چاہتا ہے تم گنتی پوری کرلو اور اللہ تعالٰی کی دی ہوئی ہدایت پر اس طرح کی بڑائیاں بیان کرو اور اس کا شکر ادا کرو ۔

The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.

حج اور عُمرے کو اللہ تعالٰی کے لئے پورا کرو ، ہاں اگر تم روک لئے جاؤ تو جو قربانی میّسر ہو اسے کر ڈالو اور اپنے سر نہ منڈواؤ جب تک کہ قربانی قربان گاہ تک نہ پہنچ جائے البتہ تم میں سے جو بیمار ہو یا اس کے سر میں کوئی تکلیف ہو ( جس کی وجہ سے سر منڈا لے ) تو اس پر فدیہ ہے خواہ روزے رکھ لے خواہ صدقہ دے دے ، خواہ قربانی کرے پس جب تم امن کی حالت میں ہو جاؤ تو جو شخص عمرے سے لے کر حج تک تمتع کرے پس اسے جو قربانی میّسر ہو اسے کر ڈالے جسے طاقت ہی نہ ہو تو وہ تین روزے تو حج کے دنوں میں رکھ لے اور سات واپسی میں یہ پورے دس ہوگئے یہ حکم ان کے لئے ہے جو مسجد حرام کے رہنے والے نہ ہوں لوگو! اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو اور جان لو کہ اللہ تعالٰی سخت عذاب والا ہے ۔

And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah . But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs 'umrah [during the Hajj months] followed by Hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal] - then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days]. This is for those whose family is not in the area of al-Masjid al-Haram. And fear Allah and know that Allah is severe in penalty.

کہنے لگے پروردگار !میرے لئے اس کی کوئی نشانی مقّرر کر دے فرمایا نشانی یہ ہے تین دن تک تو لوگوں سے بات نہ کر سکے گا ، صرف اشارے سے سمجھائے گا ، تو اپنے رب کا ذکر کثرت سے کر اور صبح شام اسی کی تسبیح بیان کرتا رہ !

He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He Said, "Your sign is that you will not [be able to] speak to the people for three days except by gesture. And remember your Lord much and exalt [Him with praise] in the evening and the morning."

اللہ تعالٰی تمہاری قسموں میں لغو قسم پر تم سے مواخذہ نہیں فرماتا لیکن مواخذہ اس پر فرماتا ہے کہ تم جن قسموں کو مضبوط کر دو اس کا کفارہ دس محتاجوں کو کھانا دینا ہے اوسط درجے کا جو اپنے گھر والوں کو کھلاتے ہو یا ان کو کپڑا دینا یا ایک غلام یا لونڈی آزاد کر نا ہے اور جس کو مقدور نہ ہو تو تین دن کے روزے ہیں یہ تمہاری قسموں کا کفارہ ہے جب کہ تم قسم کھا لو اور اپنی قسموں کا خیال رکھو! اسی طرح اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے واسطے اپنے احکام بیان فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم شکر کرو ۔

Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is meaningless in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for [breaking] what you intended of oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it] - then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be grateful.

بیشک تمہارا رب اللہ ہی ہے جس نے سب آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ روز میں پیدا کیا ہے پھر عرش پر قائم ہوا وہ شب سے دن کو ایسے طور پر چھپا دیتا ہے کہ کہ وہ شب اس دن کو جلدی سے آ لیتی ہے اور سورج اور چاند اور دوسرے ستاروں کو پیدا کیا ایسے طور پر کہ سب اس کے حکم کے تابع ہیں ۔ یاد رکھو اللہ ہی کے لئے خاص ہے خالق ہونا اور حاکم ہونا بڑی خوبیوں سے بھرا ہوا ہے اللہ جو تمام عالم کا پروردگار ہے ۔

Indeed, your Lord is Allah , who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah , Lord of the worlds.

بلا شبہ تمہارا رب اللہ ہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ روز میں پیدا کر دیا پھر عرش پرقائم ہوا وہ ہر کام کی تدبیر کرتا ہے اس کی اجازت کے بغیر کوئی اس کے پاس سفارش کرنے والا نہیں ایسا اللہ تمہارا رب ہے سو تم اس کی عبادت کرو کیا تم پھر بھی نصیحت نہیں پکڑتے ۔

Indeed, your Lord is Allah , who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, arranging the matter [of His creation]. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah , your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?

اللہ ہی وہ ہے جس نے چھ دن میں آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کیا اور اس کا عرش پانی پر تھا تاکہ وہ تمہیں آزمائے کہ تم میں سے اچھے عمل والا کون ہے ، اگر آپ ان سے کہیں کہ تم لوگ مرنے کے بعد اٹھا کھڑے کئے جاؤ گے تو کافر لوگ پلٹ کر جواب دیں گے یہ کہ تو نرا صاف صاف جادو ہی ہے ۔

And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water - that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed. But if you say, "Indeed, you are resurrected after death," those who disbelieve will surely say, "This is not but obvious magic."

پھر بھی لوگوں نے اس اونٹنی کے پاؤں کاٹ ڈالے ، اس پر صالح نے کہا کہ اچھا تم اپنے گھروں میں تین تین دن تک تو رہ سہ لو ، یہ وعدہ جھوٹا نہیں ہے ۔

But they hamstrung her, so he said, "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied."

اپنے فائدے حاصل کرنے کو آجائیں اور ان مقررہ دنوں میں اللہ کا نام یاد کریں ان چوپایوں پر جو پالتو ہیں پس تم آپ بھی کھاؤ اور بھوکے فقیروں کو بھی کھلاؤ ۔

That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.

وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی سب چیزوں کو چھ دن میں پیدا کر دیا ہے ، پھر عرش پر مستوی ہوا وہ رحمان ہے ، آپ اس کے بارے میں کسی خبردار سے پوچھ لیں ۔

He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.

اللہ تعالٰی وہ ہے جس نے آسمان و زمین کو اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے سب کو چھ دن میں پیدا کر دیا پھر عرش پر قائم ہوا تمہارے لئے اس کے سوا کوئی مددگار اور سفارشی نہیں کیا پھر بھی تم نصیحت حاصل نہیں کرتے ۔

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?

اور اس نے زمین میں اس کے اوپر سے پہاڑ گاڑ دیئے اور اس میں برکت رکھ دی اور اس میں ( رہنے والوں ) کی غذاؤں کی تجویز بھی اسی میں کر دی ( صرف ) چار دن میں ضرورت مندوں کے لئے یکساں طور پر ۔

And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information] of those who ask.

بالآخر ہم نے ان پر ایک تیز تند وآندھی منحوس دنوں میں بھیج دی کہ انہیں دنیاوی زندگی میں ذلت کے عذاب کا مزہ چکھا دیں ، اور ( یقین مانو ) کہ آخرت کا عذاب اس سے بہت زیادہ رسوائی والا ہے اور وہ مدد نہیں کئے جائیں گے ۔

So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.

یقیناً ہم نے آسمانوں اور زمین اور جو کچھ اس کے درمیان ہے سب کو ( صرف ) چھ دن میں پیدا کر دیا اور ہمیں تکان نے چھوا تک نہیں ۔

And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.

وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ دن میں پیدا کیا پھر عرش پر مستوی ہوگیا ۔ اور وہ ( خوب ) جانتا ہے اس چیز کو جو زمین میں جائے اور جو اس سے نکلے اور جو آسمان سے نیچے آئے اور جو کچھ چڑھ کر اس میں جائے اور جہاں کہیں تم ہو وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہے اور جو تم کر رہے ہو وہ اللہ دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.

جسے ان پر لگاتار سات رات اور آٹھ دن تک ( اللہ نے ) مسلط رکھا پس تم دیکھتے کہ یہ لوگ زمین پر اس طرح گر گئے جیسے کھجور کے کھوکھلے تنے ہوں ۔

Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
